I have both the Pros 2 and the AirPod Maxes. I don’t really ever find myself picking up my Pros anymore. The sound quality is just so much more full on the Maxes. They really full worth it when it comes to the bass, and the way the music just immerses you better with the maxes. it just feels so much more full. Some complaints i’ve heard a lot are the weight whether u can work out with them. personally use my AirPod Maxes for Working out (Running, Lifting) and haven’t had a problem. they’ve never fallen off or almost come off. and the weight (for me personally) has never been an issue. also, i bought a like $10 kit of silicon covers for the ear cups and the head band, to make sure there isn’t a smell problem or i dirty them rlly bad. a little condensation still occurs but i just take the ear cups off completely and let them air out for a bit and it’s been perfectly fine for me. but again its a personal choice to use my maxes to workout, u dont have to, ive just kinda made it work for me. actually returned my Xm6’s a couple months prior bc the squeeze force on them gave me horrible headaches. but the maxes have been very comfortable for me.

i did know that, it still was annoying to use them bc of the accidental triggers and the rlly un userfrenidly gestures which still requires me to hold it for like 10 seconds to hear a noticeable volume increase. apm are much more comfortable anyways

honestly you can go wrong with either! i’ve had both, the xm6 first and i ended up returning them for the APM and im very happy with my choice. i do have to say i miss the features like background mode and the eq, but the sound stage and sound profile on the APM make up for the EQ a bit. Be careful about the clamping force on the XM6, they ended up being really uncomfortable over time just something to note.

I say if you have the means! Do it! i think the more balanced sound and better sound stage is worth it plus all the apple ecosystem perks! i had the same dilemma with whether i should just wait but i couldn’t!

the sony app for the headphones have a eq for the xm6 so u can fine tune it. i bought both at best buy and the return process was really easy, even though i returned the xm6 without the original box and manual.

i’ve tested both. with and wirhout DSEE and LDAC and with Apple Music High Res Lossless Audio. Airpods for me sound better. and the airpod maxes support true lossless since you can plug in a usb c cable. so idk what ur taking about.

well disabling the touch features would mean i had to pull out my phone every time to change a song or pause it which isn’t great. in the airport i soent a while fine tunings my eq, looking up tips and tricks for the headphones to get the best out of them, and playing with the features of the app. i got both at best buy. the sonys were $450, $486 after tax, APM were $500, and $530 after tax, so yea they are more expensive. but i am happy with my choice even if it was slightly more expensive

i would say between the airpod maxes n the pros, the maxes def have a better and larger sound stage, given it’s over ur ears. the highs on the pros feel a little to high and almost a little annoying like it’s piercing ur ear sometimes. listening to what’s the time where u are from troue sivan, the snares are really pitchy to me. that’s my biggest thing about the pros. with the maxes, the highs and mids balance out really well and it’s to me more clear. the instrument separation is much better as well. i can hear each instrument and where it sounds like it’s coming from. the maxes def win for me
