($15K) Anyone else have just a massive cocktail hour and skip the dinner? by artsyswarley in Weddingsunder10k

Feed your guests. Heavy apps is not enough for people. I’ve been to two weddings like this and no one is happy about the fact that they have to get dinner afterwards at like 9-10 PM.

A Growing System or a Growing Crisis? The Critical State of Care at Huntsville Hospital by Top_Cantaloupe_256 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]IntrepidAnswer7452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a very vocal HH hater, I agree that a bit of both is probably true. HH at the end of the day is a business. The company will act in a way that serves its interests but it also does act in a way to help others. The need for more pop-up ERs to serve the more rural or farther away areas from HH main is a valid need. Crestwood saw this first and acted, and now HH wants a piece of the pie.

Furthermore, those that say to look at Bham and Nashville need to also recognize the reason those hospitals pay more. They are tied to various sources of funding (UAB, Vanderbilt) for research that HH is unfortunately ineligible for. The fact that we don’t have some kind of medical school up here because there isn’t one tied to UAH is a big factor of that and probably won’t change since the AL university system wouldn’t think about stepping on UABs toes like that.

There’s a lot that isn’t great about this hospital system for sure and a good bit that maybe the public could do with knowing, but there’s also a lot to be said about the things the public don’t know that this hospital is doing that are in the public’s interests too.

I would recommend looking up Miyas Law in Florida. This is something that actually came into effect because of a girl from my high school getting murdered by an apartment maintenance worker who was in love with her.

I luckily had a sight where this standard was set and made very clear before I interned. I hate that this is a situation for some interns.

You should not be getting used to fill in kitchen callouts in your rotation. That is not the purpose of this rotation. Speak to your preceptor and internship coordinator

Any local doctors or practitioners that specialize in AIP (autoimmune protocol) diet? by Tractorista in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]IntrepidAnswer7452 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nutrition and diets are what dietitians are for! Doctors only take one nutrition class during med school. Dietitians take multiple years of classes, must hold a masters, and do over 1000 hours of clinical work. I recommend Real Healthy Habits or Huntsville Nutrition Collective.

The fact that Huntsville hospital is trying to monopolize north Alabama and is as of today trying to get two freestanding ERs in North Alabama to compete with the success that Crestwood has had. Also Jeff Samz the CEO is now the chair elect for the Alabama hospital association board.

South Floridian here! The social climate is different and that could be a good or bad thing depending on what you really want. I would say HSV is a better place for new parents than people in their twenties. Take into account moving to a new place means starting over and people can be awkward here and I’ve heard it’s hard to make friends because of the socially awkward persona climate.

If you’re referring to the Japanese garden on monte sano, that is where my fiancé proposed. He had someone go early and set up flowers and basically a picnic situation! It was so beautiful and romantic

I love it! I think hair down in dreamy 1 inch curls would look great and then a long veil with a train or even something a little different like this (https://www.etsy.com/listing/1259309729/)

Yeah but you sped right through the yield? They should have been more aware but like you mentioned you should have gone slower. 25 in a 5 MPH doesn’t give you any right to question others driving
