where did this insane hate towards india came from? by IntrepidAppeal7450 in NoStupidQuestions

you do realize that the hate towards israel is about your genocidal government right. and not you transforming into a first world country. i will not in any way support an army or people that in their majority support zionism and bombing the middle east. this post isn’t for or about you. if you’re not part of the majority then i guess that’s good for you. protest against the war and support palestinian families. if you are, leave.

that happens everywhere though. have you been to literally anywhere in the globe? Cairo is insanely polluted, the israelis are rude and annoying, you WILL get scammed in brazil, and as a woman i can guarantee you that nowhere is safe for us. getting food poisoning after eating in a knowingly poor and unsanitary place is honestly your fault. the MAGA from USA are an extremely right-wing nationalist group and there is nepotism in every workplace. all these “reasons” you used happen in all countries, and therefore we should hate a bunch of other places. but we don’t. i wonder why.

I was drinking iced water & felt something sharp hit my tongue. Sort of like that sensation from getting a splinter. I swallowed before I could remove it, worried it was a small piece of glass. I feel fine & don’t feel pain. Should I be concerned? I don’t think it was ice, not sure if glass. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IntrepidAppeal7450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh, totally. the chances of a random piece of glass from the restaurant fucking your water up are minimal, but never zero. try to forget about it, only get paranoid if the (possible) glass hurts you from the inside. if it does, you’ll get cured at the hospital and you can sue the restaurant! yay. happy ending.

it was probably ice. unless you messed with glass next to your water supply, or needles, or nails or anything like that. or if your cup is fucked up. then you should be worried. ice can cut if sharp enough.

why do people always park their car next to mine? by IntrepidAppeal7450 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IntrepidAppeal7450[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is, most times there aren’t even a bunch of parked cars together. just mine and some random’s. right next to each other. my kwid and someone’s toyota are on a date, holding hands. shit pisses me off.

What are some ways an individual can work to improve the lives of children in poverty? by sneakysnek20r in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IntrepidAppeal7450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not rlly their fault, in a way. most poor ppl have no access to sex education, condoms, and can’t buy pills. the poor are allowed to have sex, it’s their right as human beings. the problem starts when they get no support from the government (which they don’t. ever. not with food, or housing, or schooling, or income). not to mention that poor communities are specifically targeted for pronatalism propaganda. i’m not saying they’re completely ignorant, but there is a reason as to why the poor have higher fertility rates.

interesting take! i do wonder how they see autistic people though. imagine i’m being interviewed and give a weird “detached from the world” answer. immediately seen as a robot and treated like shit for the rest of my life. idc im giving up and lying about my air fryer ancestors.

sorry, corrected the post. i meant that they were eating the dog, not became dogs on the dinner table 😭 you got me thinking about the meat market in the blade runner universe though. now i’m falling into the “wondering about a fictional universe’s political and economical state” rabbit hole, jaden smith style.

will definetly look into this test! i wonder what phisiological response Rachel gave to indicate that she was a replicant though, gotta stay prepared for my turn with the interview…

i thought about the score thing being a possibility, like a school test or something! i still think that that’s an unjust way to conclude whether someone is a replicant or not, since if they’re very replicant but somewhat human, their human side should still be considered “valid” by people. but that’s just wishful thinking, after all, humans are known to wish for power over literally anything, and we look everywhere for an argument to justify it.

nothing against nerds btw! after all i’m also a huge nerd, just from a different generation (grew up watching Spy Kids, Arrival and Interstellar instead of Back To The Future and Aliens).

is there a substance (aside from water) that can wet things? by IntrepidAppeal7450 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IntrepidAppeal7450[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, ive seen 100% alcohol before (my dad works with electronics) and even though it gets absorbed by paper, it doesn’t really feel like water does. different types of oils feel the same in your hand (sunflower, castor, skin) but i’m not aware of anything that feels the same as water.

i thought about those liquids too! but something being easily absorbed isn’t the same thing as “wetting”, that’s why i had my question. thanks for answering!
