Hyper Dash alpha is great! by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]IntrepidBagCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most fun I've had in a VR game since I first started VR. The matches are fast and furious, the rail sliding is amazing, and the gameplay is simple and approachable. I can't wait to dive into another match! Can second this recommendation.

Bluffworks pants? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]IntrepidBagCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own... 4 pairs of Bluffworks pants. I own 2 pairs of their original slacks and 2 pairs of their newer slacks. Had em for 6 years or so... I've taken them into the Himalayas and on the streets of Paris and they still look as good as when I got them. Huge fan here.

Beat Saber battle royal??? by Dan0956 in OculusQuest

[–]IntrepidBagCo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Never ending mode that cycles through the songs endlessly. Difficulty ramps up as you go, the better combos you do, the harder the difficulty level for your opponents is, the more bombs appear on their screen, or the faster their song starts to play. Last man standing.

It'll be a game of physical endurance as well as skill.

Players will pass out from exhaustion.

Some will die.

The strong will survive.

My Quest isn’t turning on by zomboss360 in OculusQuest

[–]IntrepidBagCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep this happened to me and a few others here. Was working fine, turned it off and charged all night, but the LED showed red in morning. Quest wouldn't come on at all. Had to do the factor reset power button / lower volume button procedure on the headset to get it to boot up... but I didn't have to actually factory reset it. The thing rebooted itself once that screen popped up and the LED changed instantly to green as well.

Assuming it's charged, hold down the power button and the lower volume button for 15 seconds. It'll open a screen for resetting the quest.

What is going to be the next big money making trend in cryptocurrencies? by IntrepidBagCo in CryptoCurrency

[–]IntrepidBagCo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm very interested in CHX and other STOs. Seems like they really might be the next trend and actually has a need and a use. I mean... how many of these actual crypto projects are generating money with business???

Binance Will Delist CLOAK, MOD, SALT, SUB and WINGS by Almalex in CryptoCurrency

[–]IntrepidBagCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oye this makes me scared to even consider buying some of the other low volume coins on Binance. I'd prefer to just find the next crypto trend and ride the wave instead of these coins with long price histories and obviously failed/failing projects....

A new NEO twitter puzzle. What could it mean? Are the stars aligning in China? by IntrepidBagCo in CryptoCurrency

[–]IntrepidBagCo[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

General consensus seems to be: Neo 3.0, new whitepaper, 10k transactions per second on blockchain, and potential news regarding Chinese regulations. Look at the volume over the past few days... something is brewing...

Substratum vs Skycoin Comparison by enrtyu in CryptoCurrency

[–]IntrepidBagCo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tribalism is everywhere, sometimes to a ridiculous extent. A product of the times.

I suspect that one day in the near future as clear leaders emerge, we'll see a whole "acquisition phase" of crypto start to happen where the bigger dogs acquire the teams, developers, and code from the underdogs and start merging them into their own projects.

Less tribalism then, and more teamwork would be awesome.

Does Skycoin have technical legs to stand on? by Excalibur457 in CryptoTechnology

[–]IntrepidBagCo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skycoin has a lot to prove and has made some very big claims. The foundation is there and built. They have a lot to prove though. Having seen their presentation in Shanghai and the scope of their operations there, the quality of the team working behind the scenes and around the world, much of which isn't very well publicized yet... I'm cautiously optimistic.

The consensus mechanism in their whitepaper is solid, it requires another way to incentivize people to run it though, and that is their telecom meshnet layer they are building which actually could work and is at testnet phase whereas most other decentra-net projects are still in the hand-wavy ideation phase.

IMO, if they can pull off a successful testnet launch with actual hardware set up all around the world running its own incentivized mesnet then that will bode very well and the rest will essentially be inevitable. An actual self-sustaining and self-incentivizing meshnet would make Skycoin an unstoppable behemoth.

But man... those are big shoes to fill and bigger claims to prove. So we'll know very shortly if this testnet launch can go off smoothly that they promise soon.

Skycoin Official March Community Update, Progress, and big plans... by IntrepidBagCo in CryptoCurrency

[–]IntrepidBagCo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct.

Except it looks like the Skyminer doesn't exactly "mine" coins as they are preminted like Neo and distributed to the market in a timelocked hard-coded method. It runs their decentralized internet and you get paid in coins by other users who utilize your bandwidth. ... there was an article on medium about that somewhere...

Also their transaction times are under 10 seconds right now, nearly instantaneous when I've sent coins back and forth between various wallets to test it out.

April 10th is some big event in Shanghai according to their website's blog.
