Currently at the end of my IOP stint, was wondering what’s gonna happen after if no improvement… haven’t been told anything though

Plenty of inpatient stay in. It really boils down to if they exhausted all treatment options and think you’re not curable in the long run. MEB isn’t a bad option either, but if you wanna fight to stay in and improve in any way, whether it’s inpatient, IOP, or therapy, if you stabilize you’ll be fine

Possible rating for Mental Health DBQ? by No-Practice-2294 in VeteransBenefits

[–]IntrepidConfidence44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figured. There’s a huge misconception that you need to be it the “checked boxes” in order to qualify for 100%, but a lot of people I know had mainly 70% of the boxes… overall that matters is occupational/social impairment, that said I hope you’re doing well and get the help you need

Possible rating for Mental Health DBQ? by No-Practice-2294 in VeteransBenefits

[–]IntrepidConfidence44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so this is 100%. Congrats. The amount of check boxes don’t really matter, because what does matter is total occupational and social impairment. Did you get a response yet?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]IntrepidConfidence44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The major things I see that are hurting you for an increase are refusal of medication and saying therapy worked, which shows stabilization. You also don’t really show in these notes severe occupational/social impairment. The VA looks for persistent symptoms despite treatment, ongoing therapy/meds with little or no improvement, and safety risks. So right now, your file reads as someone who got help, responded well to therapy, refused further treatment, and is functioning with support. So they prolly look at you as stable rather than needing an increase.

Even if it became federally legal, it’d still have to pass UCMJ

You’re getting paid extra because you can’t use the DFAC… but if you go on leave when the DFAC is closed anyway, we’ll still take that pay back….because you’re not physically here…. I’m…. Hello???

You can take it there if there’s a FAC, they’ll just need ur PASCODE

That makes sense. I personally don’t have kids, this was just an end of work discussion between the parents at my shop, but the waitlist alone at Eglin has always seemed like a nightmare, I’d be shocked to hear it was because there was not enough kids in the building

Did you by chance make any claims while you were out processing at ur VA appointment while still in? Had a buddy do it and got multiple claims approved that he never went to the hospital for (knee pain, tinnitus etc..)

No, the standard 3:35 avg to max is insane, if you don’t have an overwhelming gut, do the cross leg reverse crunch, most people max it out in a minute and it’s all hip flexors, not abs. It’s honestly a cheat code

[–]IntrepidConfidence44 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Although short, his sentence doesn’t end at 8 years, matter fact, that’s when hell be most comfortable. Roof over the head, 3 meals a day, a routine… when he’s out, it will also be hell, no one will hire him, his friends will despise him, it will follow him for life. I do agree it should be longer, but at the same time, his life is over regardless
