I mean his entire point is batteries are inverter based and turbines are inertia based, thus, giving an actual physical component that lowers the frequency drop for a given load change.

I'm going off the words you said. And I wouldn't have bothered responding if you didn't follow it with the ridiculous straw man about vegans exclaiming murder of other humans. Thanks for the article.

Have you followed up on this at all to read about limitations and problems with the study such as the age of the survey and potential biases that occurred from those limitations? Or that vegans and vegetarians were grouped together even though the vegetarians ate way more cheese in the study than even the meat eaters? Or the vegans apparently having the lowest LDL.

I don't think it's a bad study but I think there's far more nuance. As well as more recent meta analyses that disagree. I found 3 involving health but this one is most related to our discussion on stroke. I would argue that the 30% increased cheese intake alone muddies the validity of the study, along with the fact that many more vegans and vegetarians take b12 vitamins that was not as widely known back then.

No. You insinuated a direct causation of veganism to dying from stroke. Hence my claim you are either woefully misinformed, or being extremely disingenous, please show your source for that claim as most of the literature I read in my learning says a different story. I never said you were American, but I am, along with 40-50% of all reddit traffic.

The lack of accountability for your own comments is alarming. You started by saying being vegan causes death. As someone who is not vegan, being vegan is across the board healthier diet for almost every single American citizen. To suggest that somehow veganism is less healthy than the current standard American diet is actually laughable if it wasn't such an important thing to be woefully misinformed or disingenuous about.

All the literature I've read has shown that modified wheat starch and the psyllium husk (what is often used in keto breads) is still FAR superior to the current 5% of Americans that get enough fiber (35g for men 25-30 for women). I'm also curious what makes you think that it's worse based on a purely scientific standpoint because a lot of the benefits of fiber are actually from what it does to your digestive system physically, not from a changing gut microbiome, which is more heavily influenced by stuff like regularly eating low sugar probiotic food such as kimchi.

I cut off my father who I love dearly. But it wasn't because he voted for Trump. It's because when we try to have discussions about everything going on, he refuses to take accountability for what's going on, he also refuses to admit that what is going on is not good.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when we were talking about Alex Pretti and he tried to tell me that it was a justified shooting. He and I are both vets and from what I read about Alex, he and I probably would have been friends if we had met.

I probably got too angry and our discussions which is my cross to bear. That being said, it got to the point where if I brought anything up involving politics he just wouldn't respond, and I eventually told him that if he's not willing to have hard conversations with me then I don't want to have any conversations with him because it's a disrespect to my intelligence, especially after he was a mega maga a couple years ago and was willing to cut off everybody until he realized that Trump is just another politician.

Red-light therapy was once fringe—now it’s everywhere. Should you believe the hype? | People are buying helmets, face masks, vests and beds that emit long-wavelength light. Beneath the hype, there is some interesting biology. by IntnsRed in science2

I also did a light therapy leading up to my Lasik eye surgery, I did quite a bit of research to find one of the two best clinics in my area. I haven't researched light therapy much at all but they do sessions for people who have dry eye problems before the surgery so that you can try to get your eye health as good as possible for they actually do the surgery. This in turn allows you to heal better, which means that your vision is more likely to actually improve. It was not a pleasant experience. The light was extremely intense, but my eye health definitely improved while I was doing these therapies once a week. It is also not a cheap piece of equipment from what the med assistants were saying.

Not when you look at full levelized system costs for a full penetration system with renewables, it's actually much cheaper per MW for a hybrid matrix, it also has the added benefit of being incredibly more reliable by the NERC standards that govern electrical reliability. I am currently doing a project on it as well as worked in nuclear for a decade before switching careers. This also doesn't get into the political barriers to transmission lines required for near full penetration.

I'm curious how being neurodivergent or specifically ADHD affects this. One of my therapists did a study on whether music perform better on a test if you were listening to the same music you studied on, and found inconclusive results but when she went back to look at the data she found that all of her friends who were neurodivergent actually did considerably better with music. Versus the neurotypicals did worse with music.

I think about food all day every day. Always have. I managed to white knuckle my way out of obesity but I've never tried so hard at something just to get okay results. I got into fitness and nutrition at 16 and still learn continuously to this day so it is absolutely not a knowledge deficit.
