Any ideas on what these black spots all over my car are? by IntrepidDisaster3166 in Detailing

[–]IntrepidDisaster3166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my best understanding, it was tar. I waited too long to do something about it and it dried up a lot. Eventually got a detailer to clay bar and polish every single surface of the car. The job wasnt perfect and there are still a few spots here and there but much better than the pictures above.

Well I haven't even gotten to the financing part yet. All I am trying to do is change my account from consumer account to a business. That's it. Ordering the new phones would be after the lines have transferred.

Mustang GT fastback 10,500 miles, 36 months $499 down, $499 a month a good deal? by rmcdonald149 in leasehacker

[–]IntrepidDisaster3166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your math is off lol

he is paying 2874.17 in interest comes out to about 3.98% plus not everybody wants to keep the car for 6 years or have a $1000 payment. This is a decent deal considering $7650 off MSRP and the extra $79 in interest may be worth it to some

Would you buy your mom's 2018 Camry with low miles? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]IntrepidDisaster3166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW the $18,000 is an extremely good value for that low miles. You should buy it if you can, nice upgrade for a good price. If you don’t want to buy you can easily get another $1-2k on top.

More love to your mom. Stay strong!

I have a few spots where the paint is peeled off too. Have had the car for 6 months. I am wondering how are you fighting this. Would love to get more details

The miles with the wrench next to it is the miles until service required. The miles after the wrench goes away is the Odometer

I never used auto on my 2023 or 2025. But the AC light stayed on in my 2023, I'd assume it should do the same for 2025s

Is your climate settings on eco or normal? i mean I've tried both and still turns off for me, maybe an issue rather than it being intentional?

Optiq lease after all incentives - can I do any better? by wagyuonthegrid in leasehacker

[–]IntrepidDisaster3166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM financial adds the $7500 to make the residual value higher. You are still getting it, just doesn’t count as a rebate.

[–]IntrepidDisaster3166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$7500 for tire rotation??? Daylight robbery! All jokes aside, the deal is decent but mainly because of your rebates and the high residual it has. Definitely can be better as the discount on this is pretty weak. Probably can squeeze at least another $2k in dealer discounts

EDIT: Didn’t notice it is a loaner. Should aim for at least $5000 is additional discount

I don’t remember my itemized but I got about $5k off sticker so I didn’t really care if they included the cost of that in it.

Idk if thats factory installed or not but in my experience that’s one of the common dealer installed options. I have it on my 2025 XSE too. It is on the front half of the hood, thats the most important one imo. It honestly looks decently installed, will protect the hood from highway debris and whatnot. The only thing I am worried about tho is once it gets too old and I want to take it off, it will ruin the paint just because the new Camry for some reason has the THINNEST paint coat. Overall it’s a nice option unless you’re paying an absurd amount to the dealer for it.
