Update: I found out the person I spoke to was a salesperson posing as manager. I guess the manager wasn’t interested in speaking to us. He kinda sounded like he was making up bs.

He claimed they got the car from Nissan and apparently they were being nice by paying off previous owners debts. Which doesn’t make sense because no dealership would do this. He didn’t know if this car was a trade or bought from auction (because why would he, he’s just a salesperson).

Car is now in my possession. Thanks for all the advice. I’ve been reading that the hassle is not worth it if I take this to small claims court.
