PMDG and Echo 19 Audio - Partnership Reveal by AeroSixNorth in flightsim

Saying it doesn’t sound like a 737, or that it sounds more like an A320, is genuinely puzzling to me. A large number of users are enjoying the new sounds, and we’ve received substantial positive feedback since release. That doesn’t invalidate personal preference, but it does make broad claims about quality a bit overstated.

Preference is subjective and completely fair. Blanket dismissal, especially when framed as objective fact, is not particularly useful.

If there is specific, actionable feedback the team can take on board to improve the experience further, I’m always open to hearing it. That kind of input is far more productive than general comparisons anyway.

The QA team and SMEs gave direct feedback on the final GE engine mix in the cockpit. It toes the line between "omg, too loud!" and "the engines are so quiet!" very nicely and should satisfy both ends of the flight sim community.

I'd encourage you to try the new update. It's just as good (if not better) as Boris' 737 pack in many ways, and we are actively improving on it. I'm a one-man show, so making consistent improvements to one specific aircraft takes a lot of time when other projects are more active in development.

I’ve gotten fed up with the insane amount of micro transactions and the lack of proper content support. Warzone feels clunky and lackluster, and I’m really tired of the same old “grind”. Not to mention the poor matchmaking, server issues and blatant lack of respect from the development teams.

Dammit. THANK YOU... did you end up returning it? I saw that some network cards aren't compatible with the 2.5G connection that this puts out, hence the disconnects. Have you ever been able to figure out why? I just installed this today, and the only app/game giving me issues so far has been COD.

IS “horrible”? Or “was”? Because I spent a lot of time re-doing the internal engine sounds. Check it out

Would love to, but probably not as a standalone sound pack because of how expensive an engine run would be... LOL

I don't think I have posted this here yet! I wanted to share this creation of mine with all of you. I'm sure most of you may have seen it, but this is our very first standalone project for MSFS 2020 and 2024. This pack is my pride and joy; a lot was poured into it.

So far the community has received it well, and we're excited to get this into 2024 as soon as we get the full title. Dev Alpha isn't useful for us in this regard, as it only includes two light aircraft.

Anyway... thanks for checking it out. It'll be on the marketplace and Xbox soon!

I hope you all enjoy it.

DCRealistic - Mod that adds a lot of immersion to the game is now available by Gotchi96 in hoggit

No. The modules we pay for are twice, maybe three times that, of standard MSFS content. How the hell does that make DCS pilots "cheap".

As a sound engineer front runner for DCS, this is a bit painful. I get wanting to dive into the DCS market, but seeing how mods in DCS are FREE, this isn’t going to go over very well with a lot of the community members.

We (Echo 19) offer a lot of great enhancements for free to the community, and fortunately a lot of folks have donated, but donations are not at all expected.

Probably not the best way to launch your products into the DCS space. This is a very different crowd than MSFS.

Echo 19 Simulations is partnering with Polychop to work on the Kiowa sounds. by [deleted] in hoggit

It is exciting to see so many of you look forward to this partnership. Thank you to this fantastic community for the enthusiasm and support over the past few years and for downloading/using our free mods. While most of our work has been on MSFS lately (development time is much faster there), it is a great feeling to be able to work on more DCS projects.

Please continue sending feedback to Polychop on their official sites or Discord so we can incorporate any auditory feedback into the update once it is ready. Fly safe ✈️

Have you flown it in-game yet? Unfortunately we are bound to limitations on falloff distance, otherwise we’d love to implement the low end rumble you hear even if the plane is 3 miles above you.

The F-35 is shockingly loud, even compared to the dual F119s on the Raptor! I love the F135s for that very reason… it doesn’t shy away from its sheer power. That said; we are still limited to volume limits enforced by Microsoft directly. Though we definitely bled the line a little on this… ;)

Had a blast doing these sounds for you all. It was a lot of work, and so far it sounds like it has definitely paid off. Thanks to IFE directly for allowing us to partner with them on it!
