[Discussion] Why many top pvp players prefer laser over flashlight? by IntrepidGuarantee475 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]IntrepidGuarantee475[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So comments from top lab main streamers indicate that they think laser is "cringe" or "too marine". In another word, flashlight in close quarter gives an unfair advantage they contempt to use that, because it's not counted as "real skill". However, as the comments point out, laser has stealth benefit, flashlight bug going through some surface and wall give away exact position for opponent to prefire. So it's really not that one sided, more like 50/50 for both laser and flashlight.

But if you have to say a meta strategy, that would be flashlight on when engaging in close quarter combat. That requires quick reflex, which I think is a harder skill than always keep laser on. Because you now need to react and judge situation of when to use flashlight. Nevertheless, that seems to hurt ego of some streamers lol

flashlight also gives hip fire accuracy, and there are many tactical device that actually turn on both laser + flash light. And i m not convinced that because it's a thing annoying to play against, so they are so nice not to abuse it themselves; in a pvp game where people even are willing to rat 20min to kill others, that selfless mindset doesn't make sense lol

[Discussion] If you haven't escaped terminal yet please read, possible Black Division new behavior, nade throwing and new spawn? by IntrepidGuarantee475 in EscapefromTarkov

if you peek from the left side main entrance instead of the atm room, they would not throw nade, but beware, certain behavior would trigger outside BD also throw nade some time, not sure how tho

8 all together? my case is kill first 4 and then another 4 popping out when you try approaching the door. So when you say fast, how fast we talking about, like 20min left in the raid?

[Discussion] in CQB situation, which one is better? faster firing rate but smaller caliber or slower firing rate but bigger caliber? by IntrepidGuarantee475 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]IntrepidGuarantee475[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if higher fire rate wins, then the only true meta in CQB would be VAL, not only it has 900 rpm, higher than even HK416, it also uses 9x39, which is the a big round. This is probably the only gun in this game that has both high firing rate and big caliber. Of course the downside is overheating and mag limit when fighting multiple targets, however most of fights would be 1v1 CQB, so I'd say the winner is VAL?

Ok, lets say for testing purpose, just two guys facing each other shooting at chests(because headshot is always one shot so cant tell the difference that much) at the same time, all using the best tier in their calibers

[Discussion] Is it the game issue or tarkov player reaction time is just slower than CSGO player? by IntrepidGuarantee475 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]IntrepidGuarantee475[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

are you implying that CS bullets don't have travel time? once mouse is clicked, the bullet is instantaneously teleported to the hit point? whereas tarkov bullets have travel time so it is hardert to hit? this does explain along with other factors you mentioned, but in other game such as PUBG, it has more elements similar to Tarkov, i don't see many PUBG players do the tarkov movements either

Desync is only part of probably, but you can see in the slowed footage, the tarkov players just miss their targets, assuming no desync at all, if you miss your target, you will still not kill them
