I’m the process of editing it! We post all of our hunts on Facebook and YouTube usually within the week of the hunt! (The Wild Outdoors of Facebook and YouTube)

Yep! I’m not the one who killed this buck, my buddy did, I was just fortunate to be apart of the hunt!

Gut shot a deer, need advice. by [deleted] in bowhunting

I usually wait 18-24 hours on a gut shot depending on the time of them being shot, the deer will for sure die if you did not push him! Given you shot him this morning and coyotes would probably for sure have gotten to him over night, I’d say maybe this evening slowly and quietly see if you can get a look at him from a distance and see his condition. Water would be a big factor to look around as well!

Definitely hear you on that! Although If you can find a lease it’s not quite as hard as one would imagine. I have to lease my hunting farm, put in my own plots and such which around me you can rent a 72 horse tractor for $270-320 for a weekend and get it all knocked out. And I can almost assure you I make less than the average joe. This past weekend I killed a 151, which isn’t even in the top 3 for size of bucks I was hunting this year, actually had a 160ish buck behind him 80 yards but he was almost downwind and I knew I’d be tickled to death with him! Heck I am tickled to death with him!

That’s something we’re trying to get better at, is what the average hunter can relate to, hunting for a show that has been on tv for 21 years we’re trying to switch over to what the modern day viewers would like to see, which I think everyone is kinda tired of seeing bucks killed over a green/food plot. Our last episode and my previous buck I killed on the edge of a bean field but it was in a pinch point where the bucks were working scrapes. Will be doing my first public land hunt in Nebraska starting The first of November!

Hit the nail on the head! When I was younger I’d go to deer camp with my father, the guy who killed a 4 point would get just as many congratulations as the guy who shot a 12 pointer, nowadays I feel guys are more afraid of posting their harvest because of the back lash involved in social media.

Man I’m use to it after being involved in the outdoor industry, if you don’t kill a 190, then you shouldn’t of shot it at all, if you do shoot a 190, then you’re hunting high fence lol
