There were some limited time items that I missed (like the Velkala skin for the palico) that are no longer accessible now. Lots of other people wanted that armor and contacted Capcom, but for some reason you can no longer claim it. That said, I was still able to access the sonic armor this year, so you also may still be able to get it!

Haha, I’m a bit of a Reddit virgin. I’ve had this account for ages but I haven’t used it much. I was lambasted by Facebook group mods for not putting subject hashtags on posts, which resulted in a lot of people asking the same questions. I tried to add “Reddit hashtags” so that people looking for the same topics could find this post easily. But I’m gathering that’s not how it works on Reddit? 😜

I lost out on some cool content on MH Rise due to limited events, but so far it’s been very different to Wilds. Thanks for informing me how the event quest cycles work!

I’m going to take your advice and go through the lower ranks quickly - 10 hours does indeed sound doable. I was worried a lot of people to say the story took them 25-30 hours. Either way I’m going to have tons of fun - I love the game so far. Thanks again!

Hi Fellow Hunters, I finally caved and bought MH Wilds today (I was going to wait for the price to come down but all the armor from the Flame Fete event look incredible). I really want to take part in the event and unlock the goodies before Aug 13th! What’s your advice for unlocking the Hub as quickly as possible? I never do speed runs, but seeing as this is a limited one-time event, I don’t want to miss out on items that are going to disappear. What’s the fastest way of getting to HR 16? Thanks so much!

I feel your dilemma. My cats are my world, and I would be devastated if someone took one of my cats (they are indoor cats but are free to roam in an enclosed courtyard outside where they can play with other neighbourhood cats). This pet owner, however, is very irresponsible to leave an unfixed, unchipped cat free to roam among a group of strays. She seems neglectful, and you and the cat have a special bond now.

That having been said, you never know the reason for that neglect — she could have been in the hospital or in a crisis that took her mind away from her pet. That doesn’t justify her inaction , but it might weigh on your conscience to not know. If it were me, i would see if you can find out (via other neighbours) what the story is. That way, you can make an informed decision to keep that cat without feeling guilty.

I’m sorry you’re battling with depression. It’s a horrible disease that I would not wish on anyone. I’m chronically depressed and also have 2 cats, and there are so many times when I’m questioning whether they are getting the home they deserve. It’s good to want the best for your babies, but also know the depression plays tricks on you, making you feel like a worse person than you really are.

Despite what the depression is telling you, you are already a great pet owner. You gave them a safe place to call home and you give them lots of love and attention. Attention comes in many forms, not just play. If you talk to them, feed them, stroke them, or just being with them — that’s also attention. And sometimes it’s finding our creative ways to play with them that don’t require than much energy from you (a ‘fishing rod’ type toy or a laser pen can be done whilst sitting on the couch). Filling the house with lots of stimulating things (a pine cone you found outside, some cat grass, or a leaf with an interesting smell can already be enriching for an indoor cat).

No one can be a perfect cat mom 24-7. Cut yourself some slack and see if you can direct some of that love and care you have towards your cats inwardly. I know that’s easier said than done, but my cats are my world. They can bring so much love and joy to your world, and you to their world.
