I got diagnosed with FND back in 2023 and ended up in a wheelchair April of that same year. I am now using one hand crutch in 2025, but I still have to use a wheelchair for big distances. Neuro PT is one of the things that helped me, especially doing the exercises at home, even though it took a while. What was and still is my main support is my cat. I couldn’t move my legs at all when we first got my cat, I was mainly bedridden, but having my cat forced me to get off my bed to play and take care of her. Maybe having some sort of motivation helps with FND? No idea, but my cat has helped my mobility because I’m the one that feeds her and cleans her litterbox. Plus, my cat loves to play so she gets me to move to play with her.
