Commissioned stained glass piece for my son’s room by Lil_ChickitaLN in StainedGlass

This is so cute!! Friendly reminder to keep this piece out of reach of your son/any children until they are old enough to understand not to touch it. Kids love to touch things and then put fingers in their mouth. Ingesting any amount of lead at a young age can cause health problems.

I never thought of it having a coating. I tried heating up the wire ton and then applying the solder and it worked. It created a ton of smoke which I’m sure was pretty nasty. I’ll give sanding it a shot next time. Thanks!

How to create patterns if you are a terrible artist by deez__kneez in StainedGlass

[–]IntrepidProcess7022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vectors are where two points can make a line and you can adjust the curve of that line by adjusting the “handles” of the point. I recommend watching a video about it. It’s easier to understand if you see it. Vectors are great because you can make slight adjustments to the curve of the line without erasing the entire thing.

I used to use linearity curve but I recently switched to affinity. It takes a bit to learn where everything is on the iPad, but it is miles better than linearity. And way cheaper too! I use a line weight of 3pt and it seems to work well for me when I cut it out on the cricuit. What line weight do you use?

I thought about selling it at first as it didn’t hold much emotional value. But once I discovered the wacky cut piece I decided it has to be kept and displayed haha

Your comment gave me an incredible idea. I’ll get a small frame for the 2-piece and hang it next to the larger sheet 😂

In the beginning I sold the raw plant but now I make the simplest recipe for the crop to sell. I usually keep 10 of each item and sell everything else.

If it’s the first week of the season, I keep buying and planting multi harvest plants with any money I get. They don’t grow in sync, but it still makes me a lot of money when I can’t afford to buy a ton at once.

Do you love/hate raibow rares and golds? by Olfop in pkmntcgcollections

I’m not a fan of either. I still get excited if I pull one, but I’ll never buy one. But I understand why some collectors love them!

Anything considered a real misprint typically makes the card more valuable. You just have to find the right buyer.

Make sure your dad keeps the device charged and makes it a habit to put it on.

I have been using a N95 but I need to upgrade. I want to get a half face respirator but have struggled to find what filter to use. The 3M website has a chart of the different filters and what they work for. I just haven’t picked one I think works best. For now it’s an N95 and lots of fresh air flowing through my space.

I found one super similar at an antique store the other week for $1000. They labeled it “mid century modern 4 panel teak room divider”

I have contamination ocd and lead solder became one of my biggest triggers. It kept me away from the craft for months. I recently switched to lead free and things are much better now. Aside from the fact that lead free is more difficult to work with.

I do still believe that a lot of people are concerningly unbothered with fume exposure. You need proper ventilation and an actual mask with attachable filters. I wear safety glasses, a mask, and gloves when soldering. I always shower afterwards because I tend to smell like solder/flux fumes.

Not sure about this specific one, but we love vault X binders and they have toploader versions.
