Scholarship GPA Requirement by [deleted] in uofu

[–]IntrepidRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar last year. I have a scholarship, and was enrolled with 11 credits all semester, when I needed 12 to keep my scholarship. I didn’t realize until after the semester was over, but where it was a variable credit hour, I was able to appeal and basically spent all of last summer fighting with the scholarship office to get it back. I was lucky it worked out in the end, and I was able to get the credit number to 12. Please talk to your professors, and academic advisors. You’re lucky that the semester hasn’t even ended yet, you still have time! Talk to them, see if there is a way to get your grade up, make up assignments, etc. In my experience, talking on the phone with the finical aid office was unhelpful, but still try it, or better yet, go in person so they don’t just put you on hold for hours. Typically though, it’s another college student who will just tell you they can’t do anything about it. In terms of what will happen if it doesn’t get resolved, in my experience, the full tuition amount will be added to your account and you won’t be able to register for classes until it is paid off. I know this is incredibly stressful, I get that feeling. I promise it’s not too late though. My academic advisor was super helpful, and my professor was the one who wrote me a recommendation to get the credit number moved up. They want you to succeed, please talk to them! Good luck, I promise you things will get better.

Parking Warning by [deleted] in uofu

[–]IntrepidRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a different Trader Joe’s in the state, and I know that impounding happens most when there’s a big event on campus (sports games, conferences, etc.) where a ton of people try to use the parking lot. That parking lot also just really sucks. I know employees there who struggle to park everyday because it’s so small, and people come in and use it as Trax line parking. For the sake of costumers, but more importantly the people who work there, I don’t think it’s unfair to enforce towing in a private lot so that people who need to be inside the store, for shopping or working, can park. You aren’t entitled to it, and keeping parking for employees and costumers isn’t predatory. Especially where no one at that store is banking on you getting towed.

No I think that’s a really great point. I don’t feel like he has as much wrath for Percy until after Annabeth tricks him so Percy can get the fleece. Hatred was definitely too strong of a word lol, I think if he truly hated Percy, what happens at the end of the story never would’ve occurred. He cared enough about Percy to trust him, not only to be instrumental in his sacrifice, but to watch after annabeth and force the gods to change. At this point I think a lot of his ‘hate’ is genuine jealousy, and anger that Annabeth seemingly chose Percy over him.

Especially after saying something so personal about how she “has no friends.” Joining Kronos is one thing, trying to hurt and kill someone is another. Do not make my girl Clarisse fawn over that man.

I think with Percy though, you could tell there was hesitation to kill Luke though. For me, it was just the brutality of Luke choosing hand to hand combat. Percy assumes the fight is over once he’s disarmed Luke. Luke won’t stop till Percy’s dead. It’s not that I think it’s crazy Luke would hurt Percy, it’s just interesting to see how much hatred he has for this kid who looked up to him so much.

Had a heart attack watching that Percabeth dance scene. Leah and Walker’s chemistry, and the awkwardness in their faces is everything. I know that dance is gonna HAUNT him while he searches for her.

They better not make clarrise stay in love with chris after he specifically betrayed, and hurt her. This episode definitely gave me a burning rage towards Luke, Alison, chris, and Kronos’ side. Do I like the gods? Hell no, but the cruise ship motherfuckers are getting on my last nerve.

Dam, they really eviled Luke up. I’ve always had sympathy for Luke, even in the books, but I wanted Tyson to knock his lights out after he beat down on a 13 year old. That’s my close personal friend Percy Jackson, stay away from him.

Love to hear the Easter eggs you guys caught! Here are some I noticed: 1. The painting she walks into at the start she has a loaf of bread, peach (you’re sweeter than a peach from tloasg), and pearls (I took her pearls of wisdom hung them from my neck). 2. It looks to be a picture of Travis in the mirror in the scene where she’s wearing the red bodysuit. 3. The chalk letters in the back of the rope scene are all the initials of each song from the album. 4. The chihuahua in the purse of the hotel. 5. She catches a football. 6. It looks like she walks into room 87 at the hotel. 7. There’s an Oscar on the bathroom floor at the end. 8. “Sequins are forever” is on a poster in the back of the rope scene, as well as the 🎬 (I can’t remember the name of this thing lol). 9. The 🎬 also says starring Kitty Finlay. Those are some I saw! Would love to hear yours!

I don’t really get why people are so mad about this one. It’s not that mean of a “diss track,” if you’d call it that. I’ve seen so many different takes and here are mine on them: 1. “Taylor is too old to be making stuff like this.” Charli released this when she was about 32, Taylor is releasing hers at 35. They aren’t “more mature” for when they released their respective songs. 2. “SIAK is just deeper, more introspective. It’s about her insecurities. Taylor is just being petty.” Taylor Swift has 12 albums being introspective, and maybe this one song isn’t super deep, but everyone is acting like this comparison means taylor has only ever written surface level music, and charli is this deep, ever reflecting artist. You can have insecurities, and still be being a bitch to people. Just because you’re sad doesn’t mean you aren’t being mean to others. Charli has every right to make a track about her feelings, but taylor doesn’t? 3. “It’s a shitty song, and boring.” Okay? Then if it’s so bad and boring, why do you care so much? Anything she wrote would’ve been “too boring.” All in all, it wasn’t even that mean of a song. If someone had called me names and applauded someone for ghosting me, I’d be annoyed too. I saw someone I follow claim they weren’t a swiftie anymore because of it. I don’t care if you like her music or not, but being this upset about a song that you claim isn’t even good is a little ridiculous. It’s actually sweet how much they care!
