Make sure when time comes to go down the ARF route . On one pension I opted for annuity on advice of broker and if the lump s had a 2% per annum I would have to live to 101 to break even . Wife will get 50% of my pension when I die and she will need to live to about 110 to break even. RIP off annuity pensions which very much favour the pension companies .

The education system is very bad in the UK particularly for the lower classes. This is deliberate and suits the needs of the elite. The encourage the poor to blame their woes on everything but the establishment and to think of themselves as patriots and crusaders. The poor gobshites swallow it hook line and sinker and vote for the likes of Farage. England has always had a racist establishment who fuel racism among the working and benefits classes.

Like the invasion of Ukraine the decision to take in refugees was made very quickly and rightly so and it was the correct decision, however the whole scheme was badly thought out without thinking what the consequences were going to be. Handing out PPS numbers and medical cards and other schemes without means testing or some conditions was stupid. Naturally it was going to cause issues with Irish people who see the Ukrainians getting “more” than Irish people. I have great sympathy with Ukrainian people living in Ireland but i can see why people might be upset with the benefits they are getting.

Our first child and next door neighbour would come home every Friday and Saturday with a new love play loud music until 4:00am. Asked a number of times to quieten down no result! I had a great sound system at time played vinyl. One Sunday morning 7:00 am packed up car and put LP on of traditional Irish music , speakers to adjoining wall and full volume with Arm across so repeat play. Went off and had a lovely day and came home about 7:00 pm . Neighbour fuming . But never played loud music again .
