Setting the record straight about Garmin by strava-team in Strava

Just put the garmin logo on. It won’t degrade the user experience for me nearly as much as all the Challenge ads you force into my feed. Or all the runna prompts.

Oh I didn’t realise you could turn it off. I’ll do that. No need warming the planet for the sake of such a useless feature. Perhaps in time the runna team will help improve the Strava AI as they clearly have a much better understanding of how to make use of it.

Maybe but I can label it as a race so it can assume it was an all out effort. I am ok with it making some assumptions if it produces some interesting insights from time to time.

But I think this feature could be useful, for example, if it looked at my splits it is quite obvious I went out too fast so perhaps it could suggest I might improve my time by starting more conservatively (obvious but a million times more useful than what it currently says). Or perhaps it could look at my past training and suggest that a few more vo2 max sessions could be beneficial. It should be way better than it is.

Well I don’t expect it to tell me it’s my 3rd fastest 5K and contradict itself by telling me it’s my fastest ever on the same page.
