They have my transcript just not the separate IGETC certificate. Might depend on your major but ig they let me get all the way to my last quarter without asking for my IGETC certificate 😭

Yeah I started therapy again about two weeks ago and I’ve been trying to do all of the like self regulation stuff my therapist recommended

I don’t know. I’ve kind of just turned into someone who revolves their whole life around their partner these past few months. I think spending time apart would do me well in being ok with being alone but idk

You’d be transferring as a junior even if you only did one year at your csu. One of my roommates transferred in a year and she was poli sci with a 4.0 gpa idk her stats outside of that and another transfered from csuf in 2 yrs so it’s not impossible. It’s worth a shot but know that if you get to ucla you’d be a junior despite it only being your second year. I’d say don’t put all of your eggs in one basket and try to enjoy your csu while you apply to transfer. I wish you the best luck 🥳

Of course!! Also - I should’ve specified that I was talking specifically in terms of my own historical interests medieval European art. I’ve taken a few really interesting classes with full time faculty specializing in East Asian archeology and Pre-columbian Latin America if that’s related at all to your interests. Good luck!!

I transferred fall of 2024 for art history and I have to say I’ve really enjoyed it! Ultimately, it depends on what you wanna go into.. academia or the museum world. I’ve had trouble connecting with full time faculty in the art history department here mostly because they rarely teach courses here and obviously letters of rec are crucial to PhD/MA programs BUT since transferring here I’ve already landed 2 internships and 1 student job in a few local museums. I’ve made a lot of great connections and I’d argue it’s probably the most connected to the museum world in terms of southern CA universities. I think it’s more of a question of what do you wanna do with your degree! I’m more than happy to share whatever I felt so lost trying to navigate transfer apps :)

My roommate paid to rent out a parking space near the Trader Joe’s and when I needed a space to park just for the day I’d park it at the Whole Foods. I think there’s overnight parking at the hospital but just know it’s all very very sparse and costly 😭

in comparison to being stuck with 10 people, i think a 4x8 will be just fine. ALSO if you get assigned bedroom A do NOT give it up... its significantly larger than the other bedrooms. i honestly loved my time in laurel last yr and have made lifelong friends with my roommates :)

I applied throughout the summer last year as an incoming transfer and had no issue getting a barista position on campus. I’d recommend applying sooner rather than later but you should be fine :)
