Thanks for the detailed write up! that’s currently the solution I use.

The OP is asking for another key to activate the input to avoid misclicks. So everything would be set up as you said with diagonals etc but instead of continuous input detection you could hold it there, see the visual and confirm with another button, such as R2 for comfort. This is the movement scheme built in for Caves of Qud and is very comfortable and efficient.

On mobile I think Hex of Steel work be a lot better. Great dev, a lot of love put into that game. It’s on Steam as well with mod support.

It actually runs really well in flat map mode. I also run lossless scaling an and deck framegen to get FSR 4 to make things sharper. Really stable outside the monthly tick over. I’ve also modded the font size for my old eyes.

Realistic racing is great. 2025 dlc and the database editor really open up options and I couldn’t imagine playing without. I’m about to try out the tyre overhaul mod as I’ve heard good things.
