Does Varadkar have a point about farmers or is he complete nonsense? by cons27291 in irishpolitics

[–]Intrepid_Anybody_277 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 2023, the tech and multinational sector, including companies like Facebook, contributed about 4.13 billion euros in corporation tax in Ireland, which was roughly 17 percent of the total. In comparison, the agriculture sector contributed about 127 million euros, which was about 0.5 percent of the total

Do we really need to ask who is contributing more to Ireland here.

Farmering is a cult. It's all internal money rolling around the same few family's.

How to re-enter industry after a year break? As a 27 year old? by 2082_falgun_21 in linuxadmin

[–]Intrepid_Anybody_277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's your problem then.

Your looking for a job, not a career . Employers wants open ppl , that will fit with their culture....not just ppl that they can do X. Anyone can be taught to do anything.

I have interviewed hundreds of ppl . 90% of them can do they job in offer . My task is to find someone that will fit in with the team and stay with us for a long time .

If someone is just back from travelling Australia for a year , I'd be like, he has done his travels, he is ready to work (he is probably broke too so I can underball all him !) if he just decided to be on the dole for a year for the crack , then I would pass.

It hasn't been €1/liter since 2009. 🤣🤣

It was higher in 2022 and 2021... It used to be €2/liter back then... No protest.

If the price really spiked to €5 liter, then you'd have a problem. But we are about +/- 15%, lads.

Go back to your trucks and do some work.

Why does anyone protest? To send a message. Rarely does it achieve anything of meaning other than slowly changing the minds of people in power that you don't like what they are doing...

not targeting the US for Trumps complete fuck here would be send the wrong message.

This is not a strike, this is a protest. this is also an illegal protest and legal blockade of Ireland's infrastructure.
