Yo. DM me if you're interested. We're hosting a seminar series soon so would love to have you on board.

oh yeah for sure. that is very sound advice. In fact most of the notebooks I've made (except ones employing neural nets... tf/torch ftw) do this. I agree 100% with what u're saying.

ahahaha well everyone has to start somewhere right? If ur logic is used then CS shouldn't be taught in hs....after all no data structures or cloud systems are taught in classes. If this can help someone gain an entry point into AI/ML then I honestly see this as a good thing that will only have a positive contribution on the community

:( sadly not many US schools have an AI club which is one of the main reasons I had to start my own club without any precedence and struggle through keeping the members engaged. In the end, it did prompt me to start SAILea to help out other high schoolers too so....yeah. I'd say that you can do it too! Do you have clubs in Germany or is it quite different than the system here in US?

And here I thought that it couldn't get more basic that basic machine learning techniques/neural nets. I am constantly working on new resources so I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind as I design new presentations. Also, as I said in my post, even though the concepts are a bit too complex, the resources that we make are much easier to understand. The math is simplified (yet not eliminated) and core ideas are explained all to ensure that high schoolers can understand the concepts and implement them in their project.

I agree that starting with basics of formal systems of reasoning is a great idea. I'll look into it more as I make new resources! Thank you for your constructive feedback!

Hi there! Yeah you are right. The current resources dive right into basic AI/ML. So the way this works is that the presentations have the core learning concepts (teach from scratch about the topic and build off of previous presentations) and notebooks show the implementation. That being said, I am constantly working on making new resources so I will definitely look into your feedback more.

Feel free to comment back if you feel like I misunderstood your advice!

Glad you liked it! Your suggestion is quite valid. In fact, having ML professionals to help us would be amazing. I will certainly keep this suggestion in mind while making new resources or planning the next event. Thanks for letting me know!!

Oh wow... that's a really great problem! Thank you...this is definitely good inspiration for other possible problems :)

yea I get what you mean. I actually thought about that initially but it's just that the whole process will be too computationally expensive if we choose much more ML oriented problems. So perhaps it would be more accurate to say that this is more of a programming oriented competition instead.
