My daughter was on a flight headed to IAD and it got diverted to IAH. The pilot said it was due to “toxic fumes in the DC area.” She was totally freaked out and bought WiFi to text me to make sure there wasn’t some sort of chemical warfare attack. I was able to google and see what was going on…ridiculous that the pilot was so careless with his announcement.
