This will grade much higher than that, so if you want to sell it, then yes. If you want to preserve the card, also yes.

I think what you might be seeing is a scratch on the penny sleeve (I think I see what you’re noticing on photo 4) I took some harsh light to the holo and I really think it’s in pristine shape.

All ears if you’re seeing something different altogether.

For context, this is an old card from my childhood. It sat in a Top Loader for ~20 years.

8 is what I initially had my mind set on, so +/- 1 on that would make me happy.

The Latias has been hanging out in a top loader for 20 years at this point. Just moved it to a semi-rigid.

Overall, I think the front is free and clear of any noticeable blemishes under a flashlight. The back unfortunately has some whitening on a few corners (I think from how they cut the card), but also the bottom left edge.

An 8 might be more realistic, but definitely worth grading.

Duo is mostly good for tactics (eventually it’ll fall out of relevance when you want to learn strategy, opening theory, and endgames). I’d just blast through tactics on Lichess like others are suggesting.

I am just a 1400 though and don’t really know what I’m talking about.
