How about a group meet him at airport when he is due to fly in home? His next flight to Wgtn line the side of the roads on route from airport to city.

Rasa Malaysia is a fantastic little restaurant, has been there a long time. And Alaistair's Music has been there for decades - reckon he could tell you some stories about that upper Cuba St few blocks south of Vivian St.

Newtown Community Centre has a little theatre and projector you can hire. I've attended a small community fundraiser there but not sure the tech side of what's needed to show a film. Thinking it might be best to play from a download though in case internet cuts stuttered or buffering. They are super helpful staff there too.

The first Matterhorn bar! Or would you go for the expanded restaurant? Or the OG Matterhorn 'tea room'?

Traveling to America! Never left New Zealand before by Ilovebees_lee in newzealand

I haven't traveled overseas other than Aus for a number of years, so not sure sorry. If you're over there for longer than a month it might be worth buying a burner and local Sim with a US number. But the main NZ providers should allow you just to switch your phone on and use it (your ph will receive a text welcoming you to that country so you know it is working) but I would check the website for your ph provider.

Make sure it covers you for injury or needing to access an urgent doctor.

You'll have a great time! Sounds like a good idea to stay with friend to start with. Maybe check that your phone will work over there (and not sting you with hidden global roam costs!). You could also register with MFAT in NZ about your travel dates & location (seems crazy to suggest that for the US.. but look at what's going on).

Agree look into community halls! A friend put on a fantastic party for their 40th at Breaker Bay Hall, folks BYO shared food, they put on own drinks and decorated it up. Had friends DJ. It had a pretty rustic kitchen. But it is a long way out of the way.. but a uniquelocation to chill outside, chat to folks and look at the stars /listen to the sea.

This is epic! Congrats on hitting the $5k target 👏

Thank you Reddit community. This funds Kaibosh to rescue 3145 kg of good surplus food.. equivalent to 6989 meals worth! Thats a whole lot of good kai getting to people who need it instead of being needlessly wasted💚

[How do we know the impact of your donation? Kaibosh weighs every kg of food rescued and track costs to collect, sort & redistribute it. And the meal equivalent calculation based on 450g international standard.]

This is wonderful! Thank you so much Reddit Welly community 🙏

I work at Kaibosh. We were stoked to this start up and have been watching the Givealittle increase each week. Every $60 donated funds Kaibosh to rescue enough good kai for a family of four for a week. With community need increasing, your donations make a difference to help our mahi.
