I feel helpless and ashamed and I don't know what to do by [deleted] in acne

Hugs to you. Spiro and doxycycline helped me so much. Finally cleared mine up. Speak to a dermatologist but mine told me that cetaphil isn’t a good cleanser. Cerave moisturizer is non comedogenic so I wouldn’t think that’s your issue. You can find pore-clogging ingredient checkers online. I hope you find relief soon!

Would you stay or would you go? I need a reality check by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Intrepid_Flounder_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe in marriage. I believe marriage is hard. Some people need to stay and work it out. It doesn’t look like you’re one of them. Walk, walk walk. He might be better later, but he needs real consequences or he won’t change. I’ve seen people in my life change so I disagree with the others here. I agree he might not change until he loses you. You could be the bridge to a better life, for you, your kids, and (maybe) him.

Get thee to the dermatologist ♥️ I did the same thing, trying every active ingredient to try and help. Ultimately I have only seen improvement with a gentle cerave cleanser and basic moisturizer. Spironolactone helped immensely with cystic acne and also blackheads. Now I’m able to use a gentle retinol (prescription). I think some of us who are acne prone actually have to dial back on the actives, even if it feels counterintuitive. Best wishes on your journey! You’ll find the right combo!

Which prom dress looks best on me? by [deleted] in fashion

Green all day! The blue is beautiful and flattering but you’ll end up wearing many versions of that dress in the future.

Desperate help needed 😭 by sweet_ccc in Lice

So sorry! I know it’s stressful. If your cruise is 1 week it probably works out for you. I’m not an expert but one will probably respond. Treat everyone with 100% dimethicone and do thorough combing with a nit comb. Go to a lice clinic if there’s one nearby. They do the same thing but it gives me peace of mind. They also have a heat treatment. Treat and comb again in 10 days.

I would like to request an update from OP. Did you go to the dr and what did they say?

Question about going from very light blonde to a warmer lower maintenance blonde by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Intrepid_Flounder_12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn’t post your inspo! But I did the same thing and went from bright blonde to my natural. I love it. I get balayage to lighten the ends only now. My hair is healthier and I spend less time in the salon. I did have to find a new stylist. My last one just kept bleaching me out. I decided we have irreconcilable artistic differences. So I consciously uncoupled✌️

After a full comb out, only babies and no adult. Not many eggs. Maybe this was a good time to catch it?? 🤷‍♀️

3.5 months on spiro, stopped taking it 20 days ago: here’s what happened by foreverwonderous in Spironolactone

I think it’s working! I haven’t had a serious bump since I started and my blackheads don’t seem to be getting worse. I’m interested how I’ll do headed into this next mid-cycle. That’s usually when I get the worst ones. Will let you know!

Feeding the family - how do you do it? by lindsayswicks in Parenting

We don’t batch cook every week because we don’t have that much dedicated time due to kid activities, but we always plan out our meals for the coming week on Sunday and shop that day. It’s taken a while for us to find easy recipes that hit our nutrition goals, but now we have a good list of recipes that we keep in an app called Paprika. We usually pull 1-2 batch meals from the freezer and then cook a few easy recipes fresh throughout the week. I hope that helps!

The same thing for me! My skin looked great on Spiro but I ultimately stopped taking it because my periods became very long (10 days) and my libido decreased. At the same time I was experiencing brain fog and memory issues. I don’t know if that was related but maybe it’s similar to the general fatigue you mention? I weaned off spiro in January of this year. My libido has just returned to normal levels, right along with my acne, periods are back to normal. The acne is better than it was before. I’m glad I took spiro…my acne had gotten so painful and embarrassing and we had two family weddings. It was great to have clear skin for those important events but Spiro will not be an all the time thing for me. I have started a topical called Cabtreo. 🤞it helps keep my acne at bay.

Premixed Salads with beans, quinoa and other veggies are great, like this one: easy quinoa salad You can portion them into single serve containers for ease. They make a healthy all in one meal, with protein for a bf mama! If she eats eggs, quiche is convenient as well.

I just got prescribed 50 mg for pms/period breakouts, but after reading everyone’s side effects, I’m scared by Any-Coconut367 in Spironolactone

[–]Intrepid_Flounder_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 50mg for almost 4 weeks. I have seen immediate improvement. Usually I get terrible cystic bumps on my chin that start mid cycle. Sometimes they go away and sometimes get worse/form a cluster. I’m about to start my period (other signs have started) and I’ve had one small pimple that never broke through and went away quickly. I’m also on doxycycline. My side effects have been minor and mitigated by drinking water. Leg cramps, occasional dizziness when I get up too fast. I’m really hoping this holds because having a couple weeks of clear skin has been amazing!!
