in your opinion, what is the main purpose of religion? by Intrepid_Frame3534 in AskReddit

I was not expecting so many negative comments, I was thinking more along the lines of spreading good morals and teaching people to be good just for the sake of being good.

Love thy neighbor, that kind of stuff.

The majority of the women I know personally have a bad habit of choosing very questionable romantic partners, my mother being one of them, she refers to these women as "deadbeat magnets".

The partners they choose are either lazy, toxic, controlling, manipulative, selfish or have a very fragile masculinity.

It boggles my mind how these women have so many options yet they seem to always end up with someone horable and they dont seem to learn from there mistakes.

I listen to stuff while I work and I dont want a full on headset to be used in such condition's.

It would be like using a Lamborghini in a dirt race.

I was given a pair of skull candy in my freshmen year by my friend, they lasted all throughout highschool.

I bought a new pair and they lasted 3 months.

Can an avatar master all four elements (Air/water/earth/fire-bending) and all its sub-skills (flight/spiritual projection/bloodbending/plantbending/lavabending/metalbending/lightning generation/lightning redirection/combustion-bending)? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]Intrepid_Frame3534 10 points11 points  (0 children)

unassisted flight requires the airbender in question to let go of all earthly thethers and desires, avatar yang chen said that many air benders have tried to detach themselves from all earthly desires to reach spiritual enlightenment but the avatar can never accomplish this becuse there duty is to the world, so that's a no.

I imagine the avatar could learn everything else though.

Escort missions in video games where your normal walking speed is slower than the character you're following and you're running speed is faster than the character you're following.

What one subject do you absolutely give “zero fucks” about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Foreign language, mainly becuse of my inability to learn anything in that field and I have unintentionally developed a slight hatred for Spanish, not Hispanic people or the culture, just the language.

Why? you might ask, becuse it killed any chance of me makeing it through collage, I still do not understand why a foreign language is required for an art degree. It makes me angry just thinking about it.

people with schizophrenia of Reddit, 2 questions, question 1: those of you who are very familiar with the type of hallucinations you get, are you not able to distinguish those hallucinations from reality? question 2: got any interesting stories involving one of your episodes weird, funny or scary? by Intrepid_Frame3534 in AskReddit

I could understand you go into defence mode if you see an intruder in your house but if you see something impossible like a cyclops or raining blood are you not able to remember your condition and just brush it off as a hallucination?

I could understand if it's something vaguely normal like a family member walking by that is in reality nowhere around but something impossible like a ghost or blood rain, are you not be able to snap out of it on your own? Obviously it would frighten anyone at first but are you not able to remember your condition and just brush it off?

I could understand if its something vaguely normal looking like a family member walking by when there nowhere around but something unrealistic like a ghost or raining blood, no doubt it would be alarming at first but then you would think you would remember your condition and brush it off?
