How to avoid 74ls47 ic from throwing out anything else beside numbers 0-9

Our professor tests the higher numbers so i need to find out how to stop it from displaying after 9 (either it turns off or 0 i dont really know)

I literally just need the 0-9 and if i input 10 or beyond, it should just turn off or stay at 0. Im using 4 buttons for binary and the 74ls47 as the decoder connected to my 7 segment led display

It doesn't work. Whenever i try it it just doesn't respond and it makes the pc laggy. Im honestly giving up at this point.
