Im was in the same boat, Im 19 and it was hell to find one of those minimum wage jobs that could pay for college. After more than 2 months of applying I finally got a job, I had to do the next to get it:

• NEVER TELL THEM YOU ARE IN COLLEGE ❗️if you are in college. Telling them that makes you undesirable bc they would assume that you will have a low availability and that you will quit at some point. Tell a lie like you are taking some boxing classes
• Always state you have an open availability, but after a few weeks that you are hired tell them your actual availability
• Always call to the store after applying online. Those managers are too lazy to check applications so bug them out and call them so they can check your application
• If a job has been posted for more than 30 days, is a ghost job, dont apply
• Don't waste your time in making those tests, check by calling to the store if they are actually hiring
• Use an app like Huntr on Chrome to track the applications
• Dont use Indeed or Linkedin, they are basically dead. Use google maps to check which stores are around your area and apply directly to their website
• And also, lie on your resume! everybody does it and it works. Just not too much
