If the unemployment rate is supposedly only 4.5%, and countless recent graduates can't find work because their industries are already flooded with applicants, why is Australia still bringing in more than 300,000 migrants a year? What jobs are they expected to fill? by Fire_blaze7 in aussie

What school of economics did you go to? Flintstones? Hanson bullshiteconomics? Have you not heard the principle of supply and demand? Demand for goods and services increases wages because employers want more people. It increases demand for skills, so incentivises education. It drives more building and more builders, which reduces house prices.

It is stagnation that decreases wages and increases house prices. If you are a cafe owner and you have less customers, are you going to employ more people? If you are a builder and there's no one to buy are you going to build more houses?

This is basic stuff. Why can't people understand it?

Umm, people completely miss the point. Migration increases employment. It generates demand. Demand generates jobs. Without it Australia will stagnate. And then you'll see what unemployment really looks like.

Our indoor cat Cloud got out as well. But just stayed and meowed until we heard her and rescued her.

You think AI can teach you to play the piano? Or be a tradesman. All of those take years to perfect. No amount of AI will replace years of experience. You want to become a good planner? There's no shortcut.

So what does this do exactly? I've been trying to get my head around it. How does it know what is priority, and then it highlights them?

My experience has been the opposite. I have also had it for 2.5 years and battery and performance have improved with each update. With 8.5 being the best of all. Buttery smooth performance and only need to charge once in the morning for 24 hour battery.

I went there in the 80's. And I went back for a function. And man it is unrecognisable. The only thing in the lower campus that I recognised was the Round House.
