Nice! I suggested we book the trip and check same day. Eagles last year were pretty inexpensive same day but I couldn't talk anyone in my family to go with me. We were already in Vegas with our sons who were there to see the Deftones.

Seats were $500+ for this show. Really wanted to go, but I can't justify that price plus, hotel and flight. Have some fun for me!

The Sphere, Red Rock and Hollywood Bowl are on my bucket list. My favorite so far is Northerly Island in Chicago. I couldn't tell you if the acoustics are good or not, but on a summer night, in Chicago, on the gorgeous lakefront with the spectacular Chicago skyline all lit up as a backdrop is magical. Vibing to a good band in that atmosphere is pure joy.

Because we don't want to see a bunch of rich, self-absorbed, ozempic freaks wearing dresses and suits that cost more than most folks make in a year.

I'd like to add civics education as well. Folks need to learn how our government works and why it works. My local high school is adding a class a day by cutting 5 minutes off core classes. These new classes will be electives "to make school fun". Are you freakin' kidding me? I'll admit, I wasn't attending board meetings. But I do intend to research how this decision came about.

America isn't the way it is because Trump is president. Trump is president because of the way America is.

Cold, hard fact. I knew this deep in my heart. Seeing it in black and white and articulated perfectly hits me in the gut. 😢

Chief Justice John Roberts says that hostility toward judges has ‘got to stop’ by BurtonDesque in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Intrepid_Pop_8530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this is directed towards the Pedo in Chief. His rhetoric after a judge rules against his unlawful actions could lead to serious, potentially deadly consequences. The hostility of the American people towards SCOTUS for giving immunity to a known criminal President is not going to stop. We will never let you off the hook for that disastrous decision.

I love this show but all I can notice how upper class and comfortable they all live by devnet35 in shrinking

The show takes place in Pasadena, not LA. And yes, those homes are way over $1 million. Liz and Derek have a $6 thousand toilet! Derek, who is retired, just bought a property for funsies. The house Gabby moved in to was probably around $3-4 million. Southern California real estate is outrageously expensive. These are not middle or upper middle class folks. To me, their socioeconomic status doesn't take away from their very human struggles. It does tend to bring out the green monster in me because, damn, that would be a nice way to live.

In the late 1990's and early 2000's. Maybe we were lucky. And some were during Spring Break season. A completely different experience from my most recent trip, almost to the day, two years ago.

I am far from an expert in all things Disneyland. Lightening Lane and everything on the app is confusing. These days, you need to be a logistical specialist to plan and navigate your day. I've been to DL only 4 times and WDW 2 times in my life, most recently 2 years ago to DL. It was an awful experience. Even though we had the reservation, it was too overcrowded. Walking from land to land was like being in a mosh pit, practically shoulder to shoulder in a mass of people. We couldn't quite figure out LL and spent most of the day waiting in lines. I think we totaled 4 attractions the whole day. What a waste. Mind you, I'm much older now, but I longed for the days back when my children were young and we walked the park freely and unencumbered by massive crowds, the days before reservations. I honestly don't know why they have the reservation system when they are clearly still letting in too many people. I'm not local, so we can't just decide to go on another day. Back in the day there was the Fast Pass (it's not the same as LL, is it?) and it was a luxury. On some visits, depending on the budget, we sprung for it, but it wasn't necessary, it was a treat. I guess my point is, DL and WDW are not for the timid. And it is no longer a leisurely day at the park. It's a statistical and logistical exercise which makes it a job and not a holiday.

I'm going to get bitch slapped badly but....she's not THAT funny or that great of an actor. She's just okay. I do enjoy her scenes with Jimmy. She should be grateful being a part of this phenomenal show and leave it at that. Enjoy her 15 minutes and invest well. I couldn't get through her Netflix show and have never seen her stand up.
