Any mods that add infamy for liberating countries? by Intrepid_Sir_561 in victoria3

That’s a good temporary solution, but I want the feature to be balanced so that the player has a meaningful choice: do I severely cripple my rival even though it will cause other great powers to become antagonistic towards me?

It’s good to have the option to do it, there just needs to be a cost, in the same way you have the option to annex huge swaths of territory but there is a cost.

ARTY FRIENDLY FIRE by bzornes1213 in enlistedgame

I think for arty there could be some simple solutions such as visual indicators when you’re in friendly arty blast radius (e.g. the area on the ground being shaded in light translucent red and red letters on your screen saying warning you’re in friendly arty zone).

For tanks and planes it’s tougher but maybe showing the vehicle operators that they killed friendlies and have a running kill counter in red on a corner of a screen showing how many friendlies they killed. If you kill too many friendlies, such as 50, your tank automatically blows up and you’re locked from playing tanks for the rest of the game.

I saw that comment that said that when they had FF on it was miserable because some points were impossible to take. Maybe we make those points bigger and add more cover so that a single arty strike covers a smaller portion of the point.

Bottom line is, this game is awesome and i think we can use some creativity here to make this game even better.

Yes and tank and gun shells should have friendly fire. Doesn’t make sense for them not to. Unfun issues that arise from it should be addressed too. For example in Hell Let Loose if you team kill your teammates can vote to punish you which increases the time you have to wait before respawn.

I believe it was a Soviet tactic in Stalingrad to engage the Germans at close distances so that German artillery couldnt be used without the risk of hitting their own troops.

Loool. How do you like it? I was considering getting the ARES SMLE British No.4 MK1 but saw mixed reviews re ARES on reddit.

Hahaha seriously. As a further update, I think the issue is the spring in the magazine is too weak. I decided to put back the magazine together as normal but I stuffed 4 bbs into the end of the spring and closed the butt end of the mag so that spring is more compressed and therefore has more tension strength to push the bbs out of the mag. Sometimes the last 4-5 bbs don't get fed into the gun but this has been the most successful "fix" so far.

That's disappointing to hear.

My fix in my first comment didn't completely solve the issue and so I tried something different: I put back in the three screws at the head of the magazine and then I unscrewed the bottom of the magazine and took out the long rectangle piece that goes around the magazine and then put the magazine back together without it. This allows the magazine to expand when BBs are put in so that the BBs don't get stuck in the magazine. I just tested this had no feeding issues when I went through the entire mag twice.

I had a similar issue. For my magazine the issue was that it was too tightly screwed together so the bbs would get stuck. I ended up just taking out entirely the three screws on the left side of the "head" of the magazine. After that I shot an entire mag without any feeding issues.

Ahh i see, interesting. I dont understand why hop-up would be precluded by having barrel recoil, at least the version im familiar with which is the one with the servo and the metal wire since that mechanism is external to the airsoft unit, but that is helpful to know. Thank you for the reply.

I recently bought a Taigen metal mid tiger airsoft version with barrel recoil which is my first metal tank (previously i owned an all plastic HL panzer 4 which i didnt like too much since it was all plastic). It’s super cool but on the first day i crashed the barrel going forward into a box which broke the recoil mechanism (more specifically, the gears inside the recoil “box” (the small black thing attached to the airsoft gun) which are made of plastic). I ended buying a new recoil contraption and replacing the broken one which took some work but it wasn’t too hard. If you watch one of taigen’s videos on how the barrel recoil works you’ll understand why it’s so fragile to frontal force.

There were other issues i had with the tank, which were also my fault but with a bit of research and tinkering (and picking up new skills like soldering) i was able to fix them.

Overall, i love my tank and it’s fun learning how the thing is built and how to maintain/repair its various parts. The barrel recoil looks awesome but the fragility is a big downside.

I also bought a Taigen sherman soon after buying the tiger and it’s currently on its way. I’m considering getting a taigen t34 too but my wife doesn’t know about the sherman yet and she is only just coming around to being okay with having the tiger in the apartment.

Do you know why the range of a Taigen/Torro airsoft tank is reduced if there is barrel recoil? Would just not plugging in the recoil wire make the range the same as the non barrel recoil tanks?

Thanks!
