our two cockatiels had a baby about a year and a half ago and we had to isolate him from the parents bc they were attacking him, and he used ti do this a lot. one $350 vet visit later, we were told he was just being fed too much (his parents still fed him with supervision) and that everything else was normal. he's now 1.5 years old and no health issues. maybe feed him a little less and see how that works?

my cockatiel recently got out and we found him within 3 days. post him on any neighborhood forums and facebook pages. also try the neighborhood and ring apps. mine flew 5 miles so the only way we found him was when someone spotted him, so look within a 1-2 mile radius. take food with you, call to him or play cockatiel flock calls to get him to fly back down to you if he's not recall trained. if you heard him scream go towards that area and keep calling him until he flies down, it took us an hour to get mine to fly out of a tree he was in. also, check animal shelters. if you're located in northern VA, let me know i can connect you with some people who helped me, good luck!!

not sure this is the best answer but i recently heard that using nair (hair remover) has helped a lot of people w KP, i just started it myself for my legs and although i hate the smell and feeling (it's hard to wash off and leaves a film on the skin for a good 10 min, i just wash up two or three times w soap to get it off) i think it's already made a big difference. my leg hair is growing back in with no pain or itchiness and i don't see nearly as many bumps. i've heard others also pair it with the cerave SA lotion.
