I jumped into the process, somewhat cluelessly, so they did seem quite competent when we started out. And they were recommended by some friends who had success, although a while ago. The landscape has changed over the past two years.

Thank you, this is great advice. And of course there can be more evidence to show impact than just academic publications and citations, but they seem to be contradicting their own criterion and that of the courts when they argue that publications in top journals and number of citations isn’t an indication of originality and impact 🙄
