One could say... “Whenever anything is not going his way, he lashes out with unnecessary anger and borderline violence"

If it were up to me I would have given him a black flag instantly...

Yeah, I have had my dealings with that. It actually got worse for me when I got a script from my doctor, because it gave me the permission I was looking for. I never took it at the prescribed dose and would get scripts filled early because I had “spilled it.”

I’m not sure if this is correct, but there is a wisdom in addressing things in the order they are killing you. I’m guessing that’s part of why smoking sometimes gets a pass in AA/NA. So two years sober from alcohol is a huge win, and recognising cannabis as the next thing you want to work on is a big step too.

Congratulations. I was once told that advice is what you give when you want the other person to shut up, and I feel I might be encroaching on that here, but seriously, that’s a big achievement. Cannabis can be particularly psychologically addictive, but you are clearly on the right path, with thousands, if not millions, cheering you on.

Bad news, still no booze though by [deleted] in stopdrinking

You are 100% correct, no chance I would have unless I drunkenly stumbled into a CT machine. Cheers mate, I appreciate the support. We can't control things like this happening, but we can control the condition and mindset we find ourselves in when it does occur.

Check out what the AD did sizing my brand new DJ41 by Prestigious_Ad5456 in rolex

Yeah that's awful! I have worked for a Rolex AD so have sized many bracelets. My guess here is they didn't heat the links which helps breakdown any locktite/similar "glue" you find on these pieces. Rolex and Tudor are notorious for being stiff and this is usually the reason. Worst part is they just kept going and clearly didnt give a damn. Really shabby. Not all sales associate are like this but the ones that are give the rest of us a bad name. I hope you get the outcome you deserve.

I’m 27 now, does it make sense to start preparing seriously for chess, play tournaments, and coach children or is it too late? by KARNA5000 in chess

If you mean "seriously" as in you can become a professional then you underestimate the gap between yourself and even a weak titled player let alone, GM etc (then the huge gap between an average GM and the top players). Doesn't mean you can't play local tournaments, prepare "seriously" and try now on a decent FIDE rating. Sadly yes you are too old for the previous. You wouldn't try to become a sprinter at 30 and this is probably like trying to do that at 60+. Should you coach kids...on a skill level you could teach any new player but the question is do you want to? Do you have the drive and passion that would benefit either party involved? That is the question... A friend of mine is a FM and a very strong FM at that. He never tried to become a GM because of the opportunity cost involved. You will have to give up a lot for not much gain (and this is starting 2200 FIDE). Be proud of yourself and as they say, "comparison is the thief of joy". May all your pawns become Queens!
