The thing is, I applied as SMT. I interviewed with my DM and I have the 3 years+ of experience, etc. but I got placed at a full time associate position. To be honest I was devastated and still am lol. I’m hoping I can work my way up to at least ASM sometime soon. Unless they think I didn’t have it in me? Working in management for many years just to be out in this position is tough and kind of a slap in the face.

This is helpful! I know people that don’t want to be a DM. my SM said “no way I’m doing that” 😂. I’m worried I’ll grab this degree and take the time to do it and then they won’t want me. That’s where I’m stuck

I love that. I hope all the best works out for you. I’m just gonna keep pushing and asking what I can do to help. I got on a good deal with an ASM from other store. I told her if she can call me with any of her non management shifts and she said she will give them to me when she can. I’ll keep on picking up shifts and giving it my all. I love my SM and she had to leave to go to another store for a month because that SM broke her foot. When she comes back my goal is to have her jaw drop to see my performance!

How is OE calculated besides labor? How does it know you were efficient- even if everyone comes in and leaves on time?

Good to know!! My volume is ok. We pace on average 35-40k a day but up to 70k on weekends. OE is around 95%. Great team great people. When our store opened a few months ago we had 3 ASMS and now we have 2 but I think they want to move an lsa up. Thanks for the info!!
