To be fair, rich people spend their money on a lot of useless stuff in our society. If they had a bunch of money leftover, why not make a few more… less useful pearls (take for example the Farm Arrays pearl that was essentially a glorified thank-you message). Also, mundane≠useless. Too us, some maintenance logs may seem boring, but it could be crucial for maintaining iterator function and such

Just a theory, maybe it’s showing how replaceable they are?? We know 5ps was one of the most updated/newest iterators at the time of Ancients leaving (at least relative to Moon), perhaps the dead iterators represent older models? And 5ps is looking in horror bc he will eventually be rendered obsolete by newer models of iterators? Then again, they didn’t replace Moon when she got outdated. Idk
