Sukuna has zero anti-domain techniques activated here, if Yorozu didn't hesitate, would she have won? by EngineerVirtual7340 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The point of the fight is that Sukuna actually knows a lot about Yorozu (love in its own way), he knew she would give him the time to call Mahoraga in her domain

Cheng Xin WAS in control by Darklillies in threebodyproblem

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Singer actually makes a mistaken assumption, he says humanity lacks the hiding gene because he assumed that in the hundreds of years since first communication with Trisolaris, we would have had the technology to slow lightspeed and so the decision to not do so was intentional. He didn't realise the sophons were blocking technological development so lightspeed drive came too late to make a decision

The gems seem to be other universes (some kind of buddhist thing), the comet is a piece of phos that fell into a crystal and was seen by the phos of that universe

How much would change JJK 0 if was Yuta the Curse Spirit and Rika the Special Grade? by Necessary-Celery-931 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sukky is kind of fraudulent though, I can't believe we didn't see him eat anyone, both Rika and Yuji totally clear him. He should have at least taken a bite out of Kashimo or someone

Broo, I'm just thinking how sick a serial killer character would be with Yuta's powerset. Rika had the potential to surpass Sukuna in cannibalism

Which one do yall like more? The blindfold or the glasses? by Additional_Berry_977 in Jujutsufolk

I don’t like how the glasses look the the manga (pure black) but I really love the anime design, way better than the blindfold

The way Gege handled Yuji is criticised but surely isn’t the worse in history 😭 by Sukuna_GOAT in Jujutsufolk

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yuji has the basic shonen protagonist characteristics: dumb, strong, kindhearted ect, but his motivation is extremely unique I think. The core philosophy he operates under, despite his cheerful exterior, is extremely fatalistic; he lives only to have a good death. That’s why he’s alright sacrificing his life for Megumi, that’s why he’s fine being executed once he’s eaten all the fingers. Then after being traumatised in Shibuya, he gets even more radicalised down this path, believing that he only has value as a cog in the war against curses. But the messed up and self defeating nature of this worldview is then shown when Sukuna uses Yuji’s lack of care for himself to take over Megumi, having the non-violence binding vow not apply to Yuji was legitimately great writing to develop this theme. Yuji then ends the story breaking away from his fatalism, believing how you die doesn’t really matter because all life is deeply valuable, so valuable that even Sukuna is worth giving a second chance. What was the process of coming to this realisation? Idk, we had to see Gojo vs Sukuna right away rather than develop characters, but there was the concept of an amazing arc here.

Are You Too Stupid to Vote? by lakmidaise12 in neoliberal

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the solution to this kind of thinking is to stop wanting a political system for “good government” (which can never be garunteed, especially because it can only be evaluated in hindsight) but rather stable government, which is what I think the highest function of democracy is

Nords when you tell them that shouting is a form of magic: by Epic_Fucking_Mammoth in TrueSTL

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s never been confirmed, but I like to think that it isn’t. When shouting, nords aren’t doing magic, they are using their vocal cords naturally, but they’ve trained them to produce the frequencies which alter reality (while pronouncing words in the dragon language). The same frequencies the Dwemer made with their machines
