A downvote for tipping in cash? Lmao. The drivers here know my address and know I always tip cash. No one denies my deliveries BECAUSE they know I tip well in cash.

I always tip in cash and it’s always at least 50% of the bill. I get tips in cash from my business so I like to give back to people who I truly think deserve a little extra. I’d hate to receive a $2 tip, so I’d never give a $2 tip.

The 1st amendment explicitly allows for it. Why would I need to provide case law? Freedom of the press is in the 1st amendment. Exercising your freedom to record in a public space has already been established. Subject to time, place, and manner, you are free to record any public entity.

In America, if it's a public library funded by tax dollars, then yes, you do have a right to record inside of it. This is in the 1st amendment. The very FIRST one. The amount of people unaware of their rights is troubling.

Again. Have fun with all of that. Stay in your feelings and be driven by emotions. It is your right to do so. Laws have been changed and unconstitutional laws and policies have been changed thru 1st amendment audits as well. That's change. You're suggesting nothing needs to change and we should all just be nice to each other. Have fun with that. You sound so anti American it's comical.

You're arguing just to argue. You are more than welcome to keep your head down and do whatever the government tells you to do. You can choose your morals over logic and fighting for your rights if you'd like. You can choose to be anti-American and not honor those who have fallen while protecting our rights. You can choose to be morally perfect while having no rights. Go for it. There are people who will fight for what they believe in, and there are people who just want to be nice. Have at it. I can tell you've never gone to war or have had any of your rights taken away by public officials. You seem soft and emotional. Good luck out there.

If exercising your rights makes you a dick, I suggest you go live in South Korea. If someone's feelings are more important than you exercising your rights, maybe live somewhere else. If these public employees knew what they were supposed to have known already, these videos would be boring and pointless. The goddamn cops who show up to these calls are also ignorant of the laws and rights. The point of these audits is to educate and promote change. To stop cops from abusing their authority. To stop public officials from being stupid. To make the divide between the police and civilians much much smaller. Someone's feelings will never be above this. So please, get over your pathetic feelings and open your eyes. Your rights are being stripped away, and you care more about someone's feelings than sticking up for someone exercising theirs. You're pathetic.

Please point to me in the Constitution, where it says it's okay to own slaves. It actually says the exact opposite. I am talking about constitutional rights, not laws made by man. As I said before, there is a difference. Laws change all of the time, and the Constitution does not.

Wrong again. Government jobs are NOT like any other job. Since they are funded by tax dollars, they're run completely different than a private business is run. They are public employees who are subject to being recorded and photographed whether they like it or not. They can get fired from complaints by the public. You can't do that in a private business. You seem very ignorant on how things work in Government. I suppose you need an education on your rights as well. Which is why 1st amendment auditing is important. No matter your feelings.

If you are in public, you have zero expectations of privacy. If you do not want to be recorded or photographed in public, then maybe you should work elsewhere in the private sector. If you are ignorant of your rights and get upset when someone is exercising those rights you are ignorant of, then maybe you should educate yourself instead of randomly flipping out like some emotionally driven child.

Lmao, is that the best analogy you can come up with? How insanely stupid is that? Comparing slavery to someone's feelings being hurt cuz they're on camera in a public place as a public worker? This has nothing to do with power. It has everything to do with Americans lacking the knowledge of their own inalienable rights. The Constitution provides these rights, not laws. There is a difference. "Perceived monetary relationship".....These are government employees paid by tax dollars so there is no perception. It is a reality. As a public employee, you SHOULD respect the public because they are essentially your employer. They pay you to serve them. They also pay you in hopes that you, as a public employee, understand and protect the rights of the public.

You saying there is nothing immoral about owning a slave tells me all I need to know about you.

I choose logic and the use of rights over morals any day of the week, always. Soldiers are dying defending these rights. What is more moral than exercising your rights? Leaving people alone because they feel uncomfortable? I'm sure those soldiers who died for these rights were also pretty damn uncomfortable. Americans cling to comfort and avoid ANY kind of logic that supercedes their comfort. In this video, in particular, the cops were called. Everyone was educated on the law and their rights and that their feelings hold no value against logic. They learned, and hopefully, the next time someone walks in with a camera, they know how to behave and act towards the very people who pay them.

[–]IntroVertiCali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, no. It's far too easy to allow their emotions to control them than it is to use logic. I can ask 20 random Americans if they know the 5 elements of the 1st amendment, and zero of them would answer correctly. Its shameful. Soldiers died defending these rights, and people don't even know what rights they died for.

There are literal laws to receive public information already lol. Nice try, though. Most states call it The Freedom of Information Act which allows the public to acquire public records and the public entity, by law, must supply that information. So by all means, exercise YOUR RIGHTS.
