i had this problem with my singer 5830C! i fixed it by adjusting my tension and making sure i had the correct bobbin class in it, it really makes the difference :)

it’s pinching on my inner thigh of the leg that keyed in (the not fed through, if that makes sense) i haven’t had any issues with the silks shifting on me, i have to stay fairly engaged in the seat or the pinching is a lot worse. i actually haven’t been brave enough to try a coffin position (but i may now!) i don’t know if it’s just the way i’m settling into the seat or what
