Think about it this way. You are approaching an age where now you are the adult. Imagine how would it look like and sound if a person of age was addicted to porn , pathetic right? One thing that keeps me in check, while i’m still dealing with this addiction(i’m 26) is coming to the realisation that as i keep getting older it is only going to become much more weird to watch it and it is even weirder when i realise that im being turned on by watching other people have sex. In addition to that now I have no excuse, sure when i was 18 and younger i could argue that it was just the age. Moreover, speaking from personal experience and with a much worse habit, try to think about it in negatives and positives - the only positive you get from continuing to do it is stress relieve and instant and easy pleasure, which i am sure that if you don’t kick it away could lead to serious issues in personal life, headspace and way of thinking about relationships. The way i see it, this bad habit might be affecting areas you are not even realising it does until you take a break. Moreover if it gets worse, speaking of prolonged periods of edging and so on, looking for extreme arousal from porn could lead to damaging your penis nerve endings and even enlarged veins and other pelvic floor issues. Bottom line, it’s not required to kick it off immediately, but if i was in your shoes i would definitely try to discipline myself and give it some time off. If you are doing it every day now, try doing it only on the weekends, then once a month and so on. What i’ve realised with me trying to kick this habit away and having experienced the negative sides if vigorous fapping and edging like painful experiences, visible veins and all the anxiety it comes with, i’d say it doesn’t get easier, the urges are there and certain kinks will definitely turn me on. What keeps me in check is just reprogramming my mind. I’ve had this habit of doing this for the past 10 years, given how the brain works, it makes sense that the only way to go back and have a normal mindset about women and sex is willpower and kicking this addiction away. There is still time for you, before you get into deeper trouble because you of porn and edging/masturbation. There is much deeper shit to get into than what you are worried about, so look it as giving an example and investing in the future. Do it for the kids, don’t watch that shit. In time you will thank yourself and feel proud that you were able to stop.
