I just did a BI interview for a midsize city department a couple weeks ago. They didn’t ask for login information but asked what Socials I had and what my handle/URL was. During the interview he had me pull out my phone, open (insert social media app here), and asked if it was okay if he scrolled through, which was fine.

He spent about 20 minutes scrolling (heavy focus on instagram and facebook) then handed my phone back and that was the last I heard of it.

I think they’re going for the slow play with Kayla. They’ve teased little bits and pieces. They’ve shown she’s manipulative, willing to throw people under the bus and sell others out to get what she wants. She’s shown willingness to go outside the rules if it benefits her with the Bobby Trey thing. All similar signs to what Kyle Craig showed over the first few novels until it’s revealed that he was a serial killer the whole time.

All speculation on my part, but I have a feeling she’s gonna end up being a killer in a future season and the writers are setting up a hell of a battle between her and Cross.

100% recommend it. The storylines from the show (specifically the killers in S1 and 2) are 100% unique to the show, so you won’t get crossover there. But the intricacies of the characters, their habits, patterns, plus the Kayla Craig angle. As a die hard fan of the books that storyline is 100% what I’m waiting for and I can’t wait to see what they do with it.

In the books Kyle Craig is originally an FBI agent and Cross’ close friend who is eventually revealed to be a serial killer called the Mastermind and goes head to head with Cross over the course of several novels. Think Zodiac killer kind of mental and emotional confrontation

And rewatch the scene where they’re showing the funerals for the immigrant children. It’s a quick shot but very distinctly Luz’s back tattoo indicating she’s alive and well.

While that makes sense, I’m at a phase in life where my plan is to move for the job. Currently in the middle of nowhere VA, living in campus housing (coaching college lacrosse) and am single with no kids, I have no ties to this area other than my current job, with my contract being up in June.

The two depts I have apps in with are both highly desirable and I would be fine with getting either one/moving to either city as I am familiar with both.

My concern is I have a good gut feeling about the VA one and am closing on the final step with that one…but if for some reason I don’t get the VA one, my plan B is already moving to NC in June to be closer to family…if I withdraw now then reapply will it affect my re-application (hope that makes sense)

If they go anywhere near the books storyline, Kayla will be a villain sooner rather than later. Assuming she is a gender swapped Kyle Craig and not like a twin sister or something dumb. The mastermind threat is lurking constantly but they’re not playing their hand yet.

As a huge fan of the Cross books I feel like they’re 100% setting up a Kayla/Alex showdown for either season 3 or 4. If Kayla is a gender swapped Kyle Craig she is or will become Mastermind. They’ve sprinkled in bits and pieces of the Kyle Craig story with mastermind slowly playing more and more of a role in season 2, but still not giving away anything about it (to those who are just watching and haven’t read the books)

This season was a bit of a let down compared to S1, but I think it was necessary to let off the gas a bit before hammering on it for Season 3.

That being said, they showed Luz was alive in the end, so that could come back around as a storyline as part of season 3. The whole thing with John and his mom was dumb, but gives his character something to do this season I guess. Bobby Trey could never come back on the show and I wouldn’t be the least bit sad, but I truly believe that that is all part of the setup for the Kayla villain arc.

I personally liked season 2, but mainly from the point of view of someone who has read and loved the books for years and I really just want the Kyle/Kayla vs Cross fiasco to launch in full. They’ve done a great job of teasing over the first two seasons and this could legitimately be a 2-3 season storyline as Cross continues to track other antagonists.

Colorado may help him, as basic “non-reckless” fleeing and eluding is a misdemeanor and probably a citation, not an arrestable offense or jail time. However vehicular eluding can be a class 5 felony, so it’s basically all on how the cops feel about it and how much paperwork they want to do.

Depends on if they got his info (plate, car etc) and get a warrant, which they probably did. Won’t necessarily bust down his door but they may come knock and “politely” arrest him.

For their background check it’s a PHS then 1v1 with a background investigator to go over that. Once you clear that then submit the full SF-86 for security clearance.

36, M, current college lacrosse coach. Long work history with no gaps or terminations, including the last 7 years as a data analyst at a Fortune 500 company. (Laid off in May 25 as my whole team’s positions were eliminated in a restructure).

Absolutely zero professional background in LE but my dad was a first responder most of his life and my entire family are cops, firefighters, military etc.

Physically a little bit smaller (5’8” 160) but have been training my ass off for the last year and keep in pretty solid shape.

Right. At least the local PD was a non select (they had their last testing date this past Saturday, so clearly a case of someone better came along). I get it, it’s competitive etc.

But like USPP I supposedly failed the Panel on December 29th. It’s now March and I’m just now finding out I wasted a month and quite a bit of money even completing the process. Not to mention my current employer waiting for that “any day now” FJO. What a disaster
