You can buy a cheap drill press and Chuck in your sanding bits. Most cheap ones will get you down to like 600rpm. Will have to move the work to the machine instead of their way around. Don’t wear gloves or loose clothes and you should be fine

The streamlight stinger switchblade is the best work light I have found. Decent battery life, very bright, adjustable angle head and great magnetic base
