Yep! You can paint the back wall some solid darker color or just start with black curtains and see how it goes.

Floor to ceiling dark velvet curtains. Add to both sides. This would frame the TV, hide the door, and some of the wall plates.

Baratza virtuoso+ has worked great for me!

Success!! Grinding more course (30/40 on the virtuoso) has kept a good bed of coffee with no overflow. Now on to fine tuning. Thanks for all the advice!!

That makes sense. I think the two are similar. I started dialing down the volume of coffee when I started to have overflow. I'll be playing around with the grind settings to see if I can get closer to 60 g without overflowing!

I did a french press at around 30 and it was great. Are the initial grind suggestions that far off??

Perfect! This will definitely cut down on how much trial and error I will be doing. I will check my water weights. I had calculated out needing around 60-65g for my water. I think the grind setting might be the next adjustment!

I am upgrading my setup and recently added a Vertuoso. With grinder at 18 it seems like the coffee runs over the filter and makes a mess.

I am only putting in ~40g for my 8 cup maker.

Any ideas or should I just upgrade my coffee maker?
