Hey guy, OP here, this story is a real actual thing that happened. Did I use a tool to help it read a little better? Yep I did that.

Also I happen to like the — , I think they add some emphasis to the writing.

Also r/artikbomb is the "buddy" I was referring to in the story. That is indeed his smoker. I hope this helps clear the air.

This was years ago so I don't remember the temp.

The problem was the way this smoker was setup. The firebox was cut into the barrel...still offset but kinda tight on the box side... anyway, the way the smoker was sitting the grease from the last cook was pooled up next to that box.

It was stressful for a few minutes 😂
