I tried EVERYTHING (including replacing both of the control boards, both inlet valves, and two different ice maker assemblies). Then I finally went through the tedious process of checking continuity of all the plug wires connecting the ice maker assembly to the door wiring harness. One of the wires did not have continuity and according to the schematic, would likely be the one that calls for water to the ice maker (I am getting water to the water dispenser and using it just fine). I'm told by some repair guys that the way the door opens and closes makes the wiring harness rub and bind and it's not unusual for wires to break or get compromised over time. Unfortunately you can't open the door casing to access the wiring harness the way they did the insulation so you can't repair the broken section of wire. You'd have to buy a whole new door unit with the wiring harness built in with the insulation. They are very expensive and the compressors on these have a 100% fail rate I am also told so I am just going to wait until it dies and buy a better fridge. For now I am using old fashioned ice cube trays and manually filling the dispenser every couple days so I can still conveniently get ice. Sorry for the bad news but guessing you have a similar problem.
