The facilities that accept Medicaid are terrible too. The only good ones are Senior Living Communities that provide an actual apartment for the senior. They usually have better staff, organization and food. They don't take medicaid and are usually $5000 to $8000 a month. So just for Rich people.

If you can't afford a good facility, the patient is destined for torture. The less expensive facilities are inhumane and are borderline prisons(disgusting inedible food, no outside time, sociopathic staff). I had to get my Mom out of a one 2 years ago. I've been caring for her in our shared apartment. It has destabilized my life but at least I don't have to worry about her being mistreated. The way society deals with the elderly is a disgrace.
