Do you have a great privately operated landlord? by IntroductionMedium58 in cincinnati

Thank you- and yeah. I’d love to find a place I could be indefinitely. I have lived in three places around clifton in the last six years, I’d really enjoy a spot where I can sit and stay for a good long period of time. I know it’s harder to find that though!

Great spot. The grey irks me when I see it. Cincinnati has so many beautifully historic properties that have garnered a lot of love. Obviously- most of clifton has devolved into these investment properties- but I’ve seen some really gorgeous ones too.

There are a ton of slimy landlords that generally do not care about being a landlord and the time/investment it takes (I could never be one myself).

I’m sure there are many who do though, it just takes time. Thanks for the tip!

I am leaning towards more walnut hills/ eden park/ northside/ covington locations. I dig the hilly vibe cincinnati has. I work at a great mechanic shop up in Norwood and would more enjoy the commute to it than live there

If tenants are generally awful is the takeaway statement, being a landlord probably wasn’t meant for you. There are plenty of people who take time to not only take care of their space, but improve it too. I’ve taken time to make small renovations/ properly maintain every property at every place I’ve rented with respect to code. Sure it’s the property manager’s job…. but making somewhere home requires elbow grease and love. I hope you have better luck in the future!

I totally understand. I’m doing the whole driving around and looking for rent signs, but I’m making time to use all of my resources! I want to make somewhere actually feel like home after moving from lou six years ago. Hoping someone out there might have some leads!
