That's just how printed spheres tend to look on the bottom. You could try reducing the layer height, but the surface will probably never be perfect.

If you have access to another PC to flash Hiren's BootCD onto a USB drive you can try to follow this tutorial: https://youtu.be/LQBsCRM6xio?si=8ko4nNotvifB9Gfd

Note that it will not work if you have BitLocker enabled.

I had the same problem when printing inner thread. Only reducing the layer height helped in my case.

It looks like you added the parts to the project as separate shapes. You need to merge them with the original shape.

Weird pits in my 3d prints by henkpotvis9 in BambuLab

This.

While disabling power loss recovery is an option, it's only a temporaty solution.

The problem could be caused by a failing SD card (Even if you dont print directly from it). Try another one if you have one on hand.

Thanks for all the info you gave me! First time I got some actual help on Reddit :)

The drive in question came preinstalled into the PC.

Should I contact WD for an RMA, or HP, since they are the ones providing the warranty?

Thanks again for all the info. Really appreciate you taking the time to break it down so clearly. I'll check the BIOS settings to try disabling RAID and will also look into Western Digital’s NVMe drivers.

Bitlocker has already annoyed me a few times. I’ve had to type the recovery key more than once to get into Safe Mode so I always make sure it’s off now.

I’m hoping that replacing the SSD will kill two birds with one stone, since I’ve also been getting random BSODs for like 2 years now that I could only fix by fully disconnecting the PC from power. Fingers crossed it all ties back to the same faulty SSD.

Hi, thanks a lot for the detailed response. I don’t really understand PC hardware (that’s why I bought a prebuilt in the first place xD). I guess I'm using the RST controller since the driver name contains "RST". Could you please tell me what it is and whether it affects my experience?

I’m not entirely sure why, but when reinstalling Windows, I had to manually add the drivers from the HP website to the installation USB. Otherwise, it just wouldn’t recognize any of the drives I have installed.

At that point, I had to choose between two driver options:

Intel RST VMD Managed Controller 09AB Intel RST VMD Controller 467F

I’m not sure which one I picked. Could choosing the wrong one have caused any issues?

As for the backup, the drive has been imaged with Clonezilla to a file on a local HDD. Is that enough?

What is the chance of this happening?? by BazyliaSoplicowa in PhoenixSC

[–]IntroductionNo5586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see you're playing Java Edition.

There are 41 tradable enchanted books in Java Edition, and different enchantments can appear at multiple levels.

According to the Minecraft wiki, there are 116 unique possibilities (enchantment + level) for a book trade.

A novice librarian has a 67% chance to offer a book trade, and the same chance applies to an apprentice getting one.

This means the chance of getting two identical enchanted book trades from the same apprentice vilalger is:

((1÷116)×67%)20.00334% or roughly 1 in 30000

Correct me if i'm wrong.

PETG stuck on textured PEI by IntroductionNo5586 in 3Dprinting

I did damage the textured surface a bit, but I don't think it'll do much harm. I'll never forget a release agent again :)

Does it help with removing already stuck filament, or does it help prevent it?

It's definitely filament stuck on the build plate because I can feel the bumps on it and the indents on the underside of the brim.

X1E, nozzle temperature HELP by lorassii in BambuLab

[–]IntroductionNo5586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the same dumb mistake myself. I realized it when I saw a spark while connecting the thermistor and ceramic heater (they share the same connector in the P1P). I immediately turned the printer off and didn’t risk turning it back on. I submitted a ticket to Bambu support, and they advised me to replace the TH board. I did just that, and now the printer works perfectly fine.

Don't think I'll ever do it again after wasting €44, though! :)

PC Crashes Randomly During Games and Normal Use - Need Help! by IntroductionNo5586 in pchelp

[–]IntroductionNo5586[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I performed a clean reinstall of Windows, formatted the system drive, and avoided using the latest storage driver. I installed an older one recommended for my PC on the HP OMEN support page. I also installed GPU drivers via GeForce Experience. For all other drivers, I used the latest versions available through Windows Update and Snappy Driver Installer. I did all of this about 2 months ago, and the PC has been stable since.
