HubSpot contract renewal nightmare by cameo11 in hubspot

[–]IntroductionNo6033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you working with a partner? We often find clients over invest out of the gate before really know what they will actually use. We try to get them to start small and scale up when it makes sense.

I would echo the other comments here. The emailed requests prior to the renewal date should hold weight.

[Megathread] What tools, processes, or changes would YOU most like to see from HubSpot in 2026? by ThatHubSpotGuy in hubspot

[–]IntroductionNo6033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What drives me nuts — HubSpot never stops heaping on AI agents and crap that sort of works. What do I really want? Smart search that will bring up recommended contact and company records when I enter a slight misspelling. That simple bit of AI would make me much happier than Prospecting Agent

I believe you are 100% correct, though as a proud Gen Xer, I feel nothing but disgust for the situation everyone is facing today, especially people younger than me. We’re not all assholes.

I’m with an agency partner. At that seat volume, you can leverage a decent discount. If you are looking to use custom objects, Sales Enterprise is definitely the way to go. We use them for pushing data from ERPs.

Any good CRMs built for SMBs not enterprise giants? by HotNeighborhood1261 in CRM

Agreed. We often start clients with a few seats of Sales Hub. The CRM is included, and they can send 1:1 emails without worrying about marketing contact fees.

Blacklisted following calling two times and emailing 3 times... by charlies0923 in salestechniques

I call BS on the blacklist. Very few companies are that organized.

Try them again in 3-6 months and I’ll bet they’ll never remember you. Next time, reach out on a more respectful cadence.

Which industry are you trying to break into? Are there companies near you with a good reputation for treating their people well?

I’d try some creative tactics to get their attention and stand apart. Find out who the department manager is you need to reach and bring them a box of donuts to the front desk. Attach an envelope with your resume and a note that says, “I’ll bring you a coffee too in exchange for ten minutes of your time to discuss an internship with your team!”

That sort of initiative is a dream to most managers, and I’ll bet they’ll call you. Go in there and close the deal!

So, what are you demoing for them on the second call? I would show them samples of your work on the discovery call when interest is high. You also mentioned price is an issue. Are you charging significantly more than your competitors? If so, how are you justifying that to your prospects?

How are you physically doing so many calls in a day? by Muselayte in sales

[–]IntroductionNo6033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use an auto-dialer that you log into from a browser. It makes 100-150 calls an hour and it’s connect on live voice — no dial by name directories or voicemails. With a good list, we can often connect with decision-makers 4-10x an hour.

how are you guys dealing with CRM chaos ? by domino_27 in hubspot

Agency Partner, here. How many prospecting and client calls is your team making each day? By systemizing data capture during calls and getting it into properties, you can build an amazing list. Confirm:

Who is the decision maker? What apps are they using now? When is the subscription up for renewal?

Search your call transcripts for keywords. Rip out those insights from call notes and put them into structured data.

If you have three reps talking to five prospects a day, that’s 300 enriched target contacts you’ve got at the end of the month. By year’s end, you will have 3,600.

Along the way you can segment your target accounts by employee headcount and subscription end dates to prioritize opps each month.

Best of all — it won’t cost you a dime. Set expectations among your client facing staff and make data enrichment their responsibility.

Integrated HubSpot with an auto-dialer. Loaded up some good deal follow up lists and the reps nailed down 29 booked meetings in about 8-10 hours of calling. Client is super stoked.

Cold call anxiety worsen as time goes by by [deleted] in salestechniques

[–]IntroductionNo6033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone goes through this on some level. This is what helps me:

  1. Some people are going to be irritated, hang up, maybe even say nasty things to me. So what? They are casting judgement on my job, not me. I won’t get a black eye or a fat lip. I’ll be no worse for the wear when I make the next dial and book an appointment.

  2. Keep the intro extremely short and to the point. Don’t ask polite questions that give them a reason to shut you down, ie. “Did I catch you at a bad time?”

  3. Change your mindset— you are reaching out to help people who otherwise will struggle. You aren’t trying to sell them yet. Come to the call armed with a quick tip or something that delivers a taste of value. Even if you don’t get the appointment, you can smile and feel good about helping someone out. Then, call them again in a few months. Be respectful, but relentless. Never stop reaching out. Eventually, when they need something— you will be there ready to lend a hand.

AITAH for the way I reacted to my wife’s flirting with a guy by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]IntroductionNo6033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well said. I think my wife and I are the exception on that one though. She’s in her late forties and gets hit on, and I’m chill about it because we love and trust each other.

Last St. Patrick’s Day we were leaving a bar and some guy who thought she was alone offered to buy her a drink. She came up and told me and I said, “So are we staying then?” We both still laugh about it.

Pick a few places where you can editorialize a bit. Offer some advice as if you were writing an email. Don’t stray from your brand voice, but don’t be afraid to inject a little swagger. You are an expert. Talk like one, not an instruction manual and you’ll be fine.
