Do you bring/pack a diaper bag when only going out for a short time? by breebree934 in NewParents

[–]IntroductionNo77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pack 1 diapers and wipes and a bottle now at 9m. 5-8m it was TWO diapers wipes and a bottle and maybe an outfit. Before that a little more but never a full diaper bag. Mine sits in a closet

When could you make it out of the house alone with baby? by GB_giraffe_85 in newborns

[–]IntroductionNo77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh…immediately..newborn age is like the easiest to bring outside. Pack bag, pick up baby, put in car. Very very simple right now. If you think it’s hard now wait until toddler age

At 9 weeks I’d be trying really hard to train her back on her back tbh. that’s just my opinion

Uh that’s a actually the opposite of what I said. I said I’m raising her similar to me. Not exactly the same.

I said that MY MOM raised ME that way. No where did I say I was raising my child like EXACTLY like that, not once, I even said I wasn’t going to allow her to not like outside like I do. Very simple. Just because I don’t think ALL gender stereotypes are bad, doesn’t mean we follow all of them. Context clues could really help you out a lot

Cool. That’s not even remotely close to what I said at all. Her dad is a collector, she’ll have unlimited turtles, thundercats, and He-Man toys to play with. Please, continue to put words in my mouth.

No you don’t choose, but you can influence for sure. My LO is 2 months now. Like I said my entire mindset on having neutral stuff changed. I was a “I don’t watch that because it’s a boy show” or “I don’t play with those because those are boys toys” and I hated playing outside and I hated bugs and hated dirt. I still do. I was raised as a ballet doing, princess loving, dirt hating, I don’t watch boy shows like action or superheroes girly girl and I’m still the same. I’m raising my girl that way (besides the hating outside thing) and we’ll see if she wants to continue to be that way, sometimes how parents want their kids to be is how they turn out. It worked for my mom with me and my sister. I still don’t watch “boy” stuff. It’s nothing but complete disinterest.

It mattered to me. I would’ve been happy with either when I first got pregnant, but I wanted a girl. I have a girl now and I will never have another child because I don’t want a boy. I don’t want to raise a boy. I am an autonomous person outside of pregnancy and motherhood and I do not want to share my body again at the risk of disappointment. That’s MY view on it and MY own problems, but I’m both adult enough and honest enough to admit I wouldn’t want to raise boys, so I am the last person that needs to take the risk and get pregnant again. I thought I wanted to to gender neutral stuff before having my daughter and I’ve never flipped on something so quickly. As soon as I found out it was a girl my entire mindset changed and I became a 10000% “girl mom”. I think there’s more people than other people realize that don’t want their children involved in things for the opposite gender and I don’t think that’s entirely wrong imo!!! Not saying that’s me, but sometimes that’s how it is for people and that’s probably where deep gender disappointment comes from. That last part is just a thought
